Angel of Wrath

The Deal

Time: 11:00 PM

Location: Dressrosa

(Doflamingo POV)

I just got done with the huge amount of work there was for the day as King. I collapsed to my bed out of exhaustion. I really underestimated just how much deals there would be as a broker myself. Being famous for taking over Dressrosa had many benefits but at the same time many disadvantages. Too much work is bound to eventually exhaust you.

I just wanted to go get sleep just so I can prepare for the next day. There were just too many things going on. That I want to deal with the rest of my headaches for tomorrow. 

As soon as I was about to go to sleep, I hear one of my many den-den mushi ring inside in my cabinets. I audibly groan in annoyance. That was just only one of moments of bad timing that happened in my life. Just who could it be that they had to call? While I was just going to sleep for god's sake!

I slowly get off my bed to look over my cabinets which were just right beside to where my bad was at. I tried to pull out each cabinet with every handle to see where the noise came from. It wasn't Caeser Clown. Nor was it from some of his lower clients. They knew not to call him especially if he was out of business hours. Out of fear from what Doflamingo could have done to them.

Instead of just looking through all of the cabinets for any snail phones he went to check the lowest of his cabinet just so he can spare himself of what little energy he has left. He opened his lowest cabinet and found out very quickly who was calling him.

It was Kaidou

I suddenly feel a whole load of pressure swept through my entire body that made me sweat bullets. It was the same feeling if a minefield was about to go off. Out of all people to call him the least he would have expected was Kaidou himself. My mind raced to find questions. Did I mess up the smile fruits? Did something bad happen to one of ships that carried the smile fruits? I quickly shook my head in refusal. The questions could wait. This is not the time to be hesitant.

I swiftly got out the bearded snail phone with two sharp pointed horns that curved and stood upright. I placed it very carefully on top of the cabinets while inspecting it to make sure it wasn't damaged. I cleared out my throat despite already talking to some of my crew 1 hour ago just so I can speak clearly.

I tapped on the den-den mushi making a gacha sound and waited for what seconds seemed like hours. Until I hear a voice coming from the other end.

"Oi Oi! Joker! Are you there? I have something to discuss with you."

I leaned in closer to the microphone to respond back more clearly

"Kaidou-san. Couldn't you have waited until tomorrow to call me?"

"I couldn't due to something really bad happening with the supply of weapons over here at Wano."

I leaned back a bit unsettled. I traded the smile fruits to him in exchange for weapons to combat the secret rebellion against my rule. I thought he already told me that the amount of weapons he given me wasn't much to their crew since they had way too much in stock so it was basically a generous donation. 

"Did you give me too much for me the last time I traded weapons to you Kaidou-san?"

Kaidou on the other hand of the den-den Mushi quickly stated it out back to his trading partner that the last time he traded weapons to him they had too much weapons in stock and decided to trade the last amount of weapons they couldn't fit into their storage. Doflamingo silently sighed in relief knowing it wasn't unintentionally his doing. However he had his fair share of concerns.
