My « mother » wasn't here tonight. Probably out get drunk and doing drugs. Even though I know she isn't here it doesn't stop me from keeping my guard up. danger still lurks around every corner.
I cautiously walk towards my room .
Why, well to get my siblings.
Tonight is the time of our flight, which they don't know about. I have been planning this for a while now but I couldn't say anything. I couldn't risk it.
Today is finally the day we hopefully get away, but I better not get my hopes up.
I carefully open the door to see Ares,Apollo,and Atlas cuddled up on my bed .
I stare at them for a couple minutes
with a small smile on my face
They deserve better and I will try to provide that better" I thought to myself
Then I realize that we really have to go.
"Matt" I whisper as I try and shake him awake.
In our family we are all deep sleepers but Ares is easier to wake up than the others.
I get a grunt in respond
"Cmon' we gotta go" I say
He sits up and tries to rubs the sleep out of his eyes
It's currently 2 am.
" Wake your brothers up and go get your shoes on quick"
I go and take Eli from his crib and but him on my hip letting him sleep, he needs it.
"Where are we going" I hear Gio whisper
"We are leaving here "I say as I grab a suit case
"I'll tell you more when we are at the airport "
We only have three but it's alright
"Cmon' let's go before she gets back" I add as I start walking out the door as they follow behind me.
I open the front door gently as the night breeze rushs past us.
I look around and spot our Uber waiting for us.
"Put your hood on" Nick says to everyone .
I put my hood and Eli's on. The triplets put the suit cases in the trunk and enter the car, I follow after with Eli.
"Where to Ms." the driver asks
"Airport please" I respond
I take out the triplets and I's AirPods and pass them out. I watch as they each mouth thank you to me and put them on. I nod in response.
I put mine on too ,leaning a little bit back into my seat,I put Eli on my lap.,Watching as we drive pass multiple buildings.
Looking around the airport I spot our waiting area.
As we are walking Matt speaks.
"So are you going to tell us where we are going" he says
"We are headed to New York".I say.
I hear them stop, so I turn around to face them and see their jaws are on the floor.
"New York?" Gio says
"No Antarctic" Matt says sarcastically
"Dumbass" Nick muttered
I let out a little chuckle and on instant the triplets heads snap towards me.
"You too, Emmie. You are all teaming up on me that's not fair." Gio complains.
"Anyways, why didn't you tell us earlier"
" risks" I said
"You guys will finally have a normal life, well as normal as it gets"
A one worded answer is what I use when I say I'm getting tired of talking not tired of the person which is what most people think.
I don't really like talking, well to people I don't know.
So the triplets take that as a no more talking sign
We enter the airplane and a flight attendant lead us to first class. I was going to get economy but then we would be separate and I rather have them all in eyesight.
The flight was about 8 hours from London to New York.
We would get there at like 12am.
It was a great place to go, it was far enough from the person we call "mother" . For most of the flight the triplets and Eli(Matteo) were sleeping.
Insomnia keeps me up so, I just made some calls to make sure our house was safe and for school and babysitters.
As, I was staring a Eli my phone started ringing it was Tony, my boss at my old job, that's when I realized I forgot to call him when I got on the plane
" Hey, Pops"
He is like a grandfather to me, so I call him pops. He doesn't mind it .
" Don't "Hey pops" me you almost gave me a heart attack why didn't you call me" he said
"I forgot I'm sorry pops" I replied
"Sure, just don't do it again"he says with a sigh
