I followed him down to the basement, curious as to what he was showing me. He suddenly halted and turned around to face me in one quick movement.

"I have one thing I must ask you first. Are you in? Or are you out?" He spoke slowly; emphasising every word.

"What do you mean Fin..? Out of what?"

"I can't tell you... I guess you could call it a hobby... A business if you will," he smirked like something amused him. I didn't answer.

He sighed "I guess you don't love me like you say you do. Oh well..." He looked at me with an expression i didn't understand. It was as if he were a snake, looking at its prey. For a second i was genuinely afraid. He headed for the door but I grabbed him by the arm, wincing as I caught my hand on his bracelet.

"Fin. I'm in," he pulled me into a tight embrace as soon as the words left my mouth. I couldn't help shivering at his touch. It was neither comfortable nor uncomfortable but it felt odd. He took me by the hand and led me to the door. When he opened it my heart stopped. Only for a second but it definitely stopped. There in the centre of the room was a man tied to a chair, a man I knew all too well; my ex. I staggered back several steps and leant on the wall for balance.

"Ta dah! What do you think?" Fin was looking at me, his eyes practically sparkling with joy. I couldn't speak. What was going on? I was brought out of my thoughts by an abrupt scream from the hostage. Fin looked angry suddenly and he pulled a gun from his pocket and shot him in the shoulder. Wide eyed, he looked down at his wound which was dripping a large amount of blood.

"Shut it can't you see we were in the middle of something. Sorry Dean, I guess i didn't have enough time to teach him manners. What are you waiting for? Take it," he was holding the gun out to me with a face that looked somewhat bored. I took it, scared of what he would do if I didn't, and went into the room.

"Dean! Oh my god he has you to. Please help me. If you untie me we can both run away from here. W we can get him arrested. Please! Please! Let me go-" he was silenced by a harsh glare from Fin. I wasn't sure what to do. Listen to Fin, my boyfriend who I'd spent ages trying to be with, or Max, my crazed ex who had hurt me over and over. I wanted to do what Fin said but I couldn't shoot a man...could i? Fin had me second guessing alot of things. I was even considering killing someone for crying out loud. No I wouldnt. I couldnt...right?

"Gimme a break. The only boyfriend I trusted to help me out can't even kill the person who'd been abusive to him. Tch don't you remember Dean?" He spun a chair around and sat on it, resting his head on the back.

"Don't you remember? He used to hit you, he left you to die. Not just once either. Remember in the club? He left you surrounded by 3 guys, and wouldn't help your panic attack. He's bad. They all are. Or do you remember when he left you in the alleyway to die after beating you senseless?" I hadn't noticed he had come up behind me until he put his chin on my shoulder and was whispering in my ear.

"They're all bad. I'm good for you though, I'll take care of you. All you have to do now," he raised my arms to point the gun at Max's head, "is shoot him dead."  He kissed my neck lightly before taking a few steps away from me, I could feel his stare burning into my back.

"P please Dean! I didn't do those things he's wrong! Let me go and ill get you out!" I took a few slow steps toward the chair and stopped right infront of him. Slowly, carefully, I began to untie his legs then his arms, aware that Fin was watching my every move. I kissed Max's cheek and whispered to him "Run." As soon as he was behind me, running i turned and raised the gun. I was only slightly aware of the bang as I pulled the trigger, rendering him lifeless. I fell to my knees, my arm cutting into something sharp but I didn't care, I'd don't it. I was now a murderer. I couldn't help myself, I began laughing, not in a normal way like i would at a comedy movie, but manically. I'd done it. And I didn't feel guilty...yet. Fin sauntered over to me, clapping slowly.

"I knew you'd be able to do it. Well done," he took in my bleeding arm and knelt beside me,

"Let me bandage this, you'll bleed out otherwise," I was now aware that what had cut my arm was a scalpel, which I'd knocked off of a table. Shakily, I got up, wandering mindlessly over to his body, now lying cold on the ground.

"I said let me bandage it,"

" No, " I stated down at Max, examining his lifeless form. It was only then that I saw his wallet. Curious, I picked it up to see if he had a picture inside. He did. The last thing I saw was a picture of me and him on his birthday 2 years ago, before everything went black and I passed out.
