Taking a few seconds she then spoke
"I couldn't just idle there and do nothing Lord(name blurred)... you do well know that you still have a role to fullfil, I can't le-"
"So what?! For god's sake why did you just have to be so stupid?!"
Whimpering can be heard from him.
She then let out a chuckle then said "why are you shedding tears for someone like me? It's not like we were actually dating (name blurred), Our relationship was on paper, so you have no reason to weep-"
She then coughed blood "-Don't tell me you actually developed a liking for me?"
She was smiling but it can be seen in her eyes the pain she was feeling, despite at first glance you may think it's due to the wound on her stomach, but the truth lies far from that.
It was something that can't be expressed in words, something far more intricate.
The duke suddenly felt something burning inside him.
"SO WHAT IF I DID?!"
His face was very flushed but it was sadness, anger and even confusion that can be noticed at first glance.
Seriyanna stunned then placed her left palm on his cheeks to wipe his tears
"I guess we both have foolishly fallen with each other's fatuity in the process, but I am afraid this is where we go our own ways."
It was about the dream I had last night.
The dream was so vague but it felt so real.
The man in my dream felt familiar too. I could even feel that their was a wound on the left side of my stomach.
The atmosphere felt so sad for some reason. Was it because the man crying?
As I was lost in thoughts my brother shaked my shoulder cause we have reached our destination.
".....eri -eri, Seri!"
"Ah uh yes brother?" Xander sighed
"we are here" " ah really?"
"Yes, really. We were here minutes ago, but you wouldn't listen." Said Soria
"ah I'm sorry"
We were going to a banquet held by the imperial family, they were going to announce who the crown prince was.
While I followed my brother and sister inside our parents were already ahead of us.
My brother then got near me and whispered
"were you thinking of marriage?"
I wasn't surprised, and nodded in response.
"Don't pressure yourself with these kind of things"
my eyebrow raised
"Are you even supposed to be saying that when you are at the verge of being punished by father?"
We both chuckled softly
"Do not fear as I won't let father punish me that easily"
he said while he smirked at me with eyes full of mischief
"You do well know that I can hear the both you" Father then said while suddenly walking behind us.
Our souls both flew out of our bodies as we jumped startled by his sudden appearance.
"We can still make it to the nearest tower so please persist just a bit, please-"
"it's no use(blurred name)..please just continue defending the Selestial (cough) border because we can't let the dark sorcerers conquer the land and kill everyone"
"DON'T SAY THAT! Seriyanna, your saying nonsense!"
"Please" Seriyanna then smiled and drew her last breaths of air
"no no no no no no, Seriyanna I haven't allowed you die on me yet, I command you to stay alive...please-"
