Taking a deep breath, I quickly untied the twine, opening the brown paper.
Inside was a vial of blue liquid. There was a tag attached to it with the Sirius Black written on it. A small note sat in the paper underneath it.
1980 – 1981 – The Discovery of Little Star.
"Little Star?" I repeated. That was what dad called me at the end of last year.
"What is it?" Estrella asked me, leaning forward to look at the vial.
"Memories," I told her. "I saw vials like this at the Pensieve in Dumbledore's office. They're my dad's."
"Why do you have your father's memories?" my mother continued.
"Tonks gave them to me."
"Tonks?"
"My cousin. She's part of the Order."
Bringing the small jar up to the light, I watched small, silver-like wisps of what I assumed to be memories weave in and around each other.
"The Order?" My mother asked another question.
"A force against Voldemort," I explained, perplexed by the vial. "It was made during the First Wizarding War, but Dumbledore started it back up again." I turned to Estrella. "You're in my head, you should know this."
"We're not going!" Raised voices drifted down the corridor, turning my attention to the door.
When I turned back to my mother, she had vanished again, and I let out a heavy sigh. "If only my problems would disappear like that."
"No Pansy! It's a school night!" Another voice joined the conversation.
Sighing again, I stood from the bed, quickly shoving the vial and note into my desk drawer. I ran down the dorm room hallway.
"What the fuck is going on in here?" I asked them as I entered the Common Room. "I can hear you shouting from my dorm."
Blaise and Pansy were stood opposite Draco, Theo and Mattheo. Both Pansy and Blaise were dressed up. Blaise in a pair of black trousers and a lose red top and Pansy in a small black dress. The one I had decided not to buy for the Yule Ball last year.
"Lyra, come on. We're going to a party, and they won't come," Pansy moaned.
"It's a school night Parkinson," Draco told her, his arms folded across his chest.
"Since when did you care about that?" Blaise asked the blonde.
"Come on Lyra, it's a small one. No loud music or drugs – "
"Unless you want them," Blaise added.
Pansy took my hands, rolling her eyes at Blaise's remark. "Come on. Let loose and have some fun."
I thought about it for a moment. I could only assume that this party was courtesy of the Weasley's. the last time I was at one of their parties, it didn't go too well, but I could do with a distraction.
"Go let loose," Barty told me. "Have fun for a night and face the consequences later."
I took a deep breath, watching the almost desperate-looking girl in front of me.
Estrella, any comment?
"I'm with my better half on this. Have fun," she told me.
I nodded, leading Pansy to squeal with joy. "Yes! Okay, I need to get you into something nicer." She looked over my outfit. "I'll go pick something else out." Pansy made for the hallway. Blaise quickly followed.
