Erin Strauss was not what Aaron Hotchner wanted to see in his office coming back from a case but here she was in his office looking as if she was waiting for him to walk through the door
not wanting to stall and get whatever she's going to say over with he opens his office door coming into the room
"Strauss" the woman did not turn around waiting for him to come to her which he did going behind his desk putting his bag down and looking at the women
actually looking at her he sees a file in her hands confused but not showing it he goes to talk
"what's this surprise visit about"
"your new teammate"
"what's wrong with Prentiss"
"not Prentiss" she holds out the file to him "Josephine Avery" he takes the folder which holds the woman and her information
"isn't too early to be replacing Gideon"
"Hale said this isn't a replacement for him yet"
"then why are they bringing in this woman"
"I have absolutely no idea"
this whole thing was strange why are they bringing in the woman if it's not a replacement for the last one
"maybe it's what's in her file" before he can respond to that the older lady is already talking again "she seems good from what i've read about her"
so this woman is getting a transfer from the Director which is weird in itself but it also seems she's impressed everyone she has ever been addressed
"what unit is she transferring from" the man asks trying to understand the situation
"Violent Crimes Against Children also known as VCAC she has also been in that unit for a year"
she would be useful they don't have an agent on the team that specified to protect children but what's confusing him is the fact she's not a replacement no she's getting a spot all on her own which also means they've been thinking about this for awhile at least before Gideon left
"when does she start" he already accepted the fact he's going to have this woman on the team especially when the director was named in the conversation
"next Monday" she then gets up to leave his office before turning back to him "id inform the rest of the team" and then leaving the room
the man sliding a hand over his face before sitting down to study this file to see why this woman was so special to have a new whole spot on the team
