Audrey was confused. Did she do something wrong? If so, what? These questions rolled through Audrey's head, one after another. She began to become very worried that he would never call. She found him to be amazing and hoped that she didn't scare him off.

Tyler didn't know what to do. He felt strong feelings for Audrey, but he had always been a player, and couldn't help but deny every emotion he felt towards her. The idea of actually starting a relationship and falling in love with someone terrified him.

"Tyler! Why the hell have you been so distant today?" Derrick's voice snapped Tyler out of his thoughts. Derrick was staring at him, patiently waiting for an answer to his question.

"I don't know man. I think I am actually catching feelings for someone, but I don't want to settle down with anyone in a relationship," Tyler stated, looking at his folded hands in his lap.

"Well, try to bury those feelings. If you don't to get strong feelings for this girl, hide them with sex and other girls," Derrick responded.

Tyler couldn't tell if Derrick was trying to be sarcastic, or if it was a genuine idea. Nevertheless, Tyler thought that it just might work.

"Audrey come on! Why are you always so slow?" Dana shouted at Audrey.

Audrey was looking through the flannel shirts at their local store. Audrey's mind was still clouded with thoughts of Tyler. Why hasn't he called yet? She began to think that something was wrong with her.

"Hello? Audrey?"

Audrey snapped out her thoughts and saw Dana snapping her fingers at her.

"Sorry, what?"

"Still no word from that Tyler guy huh?" Dana asked.

Audrey shook her head and looked back at the flannels. She finally decided to get a plain red one and finally made their way to the cash register.

They paid for their clothes and headed out to Audrey's truck. Audrey scanned the parking lot and laid eyes on a familiar figure. Tyler was leaned up against another truck, tonguing down so random girl.

Audrey felt a horrible sting in her chest and sped up her pace.

"Audrey, isn't that Tyler?"

Audrey remained silent and continued to speed walk towards her truck. She kept glancing over at Tyler as he continued to make out with the random girl. Audrey quickly loaded her truck, started the engine, and drove off with Dana completely confused in the passenger seat.

Tyler had one hand leaning on Heather's car, his other hand firmly gripping her waist, and his tongue down her throat. He had to admit that Heather was a good kisser, but he couldn't help but notice how wrong it felt to him. He felt like he was cheating on Audrey, even though they aren't dating. His feelings won't go under the dirt he is attempting to bury them with. They just keep stepping up.

"Want to head back to my place?" Heather seductively whispers in his ear.

Tyler shudders and quickly nods. Heather opens the passenger's side door and allows him to get in the seat. She gets in her driver seat and begins the drive to her house.

Tyler just stared out the window and thought about Audrey and how upset she would be if she knew he was doing this. Wait. What do I care? I'm not dating her. He shakes his head and leans it on the window. His thoughts attempt to drag him back in before he feels Heather's hand undoing his zipper and sliding her hand in.

Audrey dropped Dana off at her house and went home to be alone. She sat in her room, thinking over the night she had with Tyler.

I should have known, I am never good enough.
