I woke up to the sound of my alarm, without wasting another second, I quickly hit the showers and freshened up. Wrapping a towel round my chest, I started rummaging through my pile of clothes. I decided to go with black leather trousers, white crop top and a matching leather jacket.

"Rose, join us for breakfast sweetie" I heard my mom shout from downstairs,"if you don't mind, I mean". she sounded happy which made me feel a sense of guilt, I shut them out, I shut my adoptive parents out.

I never once had a meal with them still they never gave up on me but that all changed when Lucius came into my life. They were surprised when I joined them for dinner last month, I also introduced them to Lucius that same day.

I was a bit hesitant but Lucius encouraged me that I could do it. It makes me happy to see them smile even for the littlest things like having family game night and meals with them, they cared for me not withstanding my personality. They were like my real parents still I didn't return the love, I just wish...

"Rose are you coming" my dad's voice broke me out of my thoughts, "coming dad" I put on a pair of boots, grabbed my bag and jogged downstairs, I was hit with the sweet aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice, pancake and maple syrup, yummy.

I increased my pace and kissed my mom and dad good morning, they both smiled at me while I quickly grabbed a plate with my mom serving me.

I digged In and half way done, the door bell rung. "I'll get it" Jumping off the kitchen stool, I wiped my mouth and went over to the door. I opened it and saw Lucius on the other side.

"Hey" I smiled while embracing him. "I wanted to drop you off at school, are you ready" he smiled at me. "sure let me just grab my bag"

I went over to the dinning room, "who's at the door" my dad asked while taking a sip of his orange juice. "it's Lucius, he wants to drop me off, I gotta go".

I kept my plates in the sink and grabbed my bag, I kissed my parents goodbye earning a smile and a 'be good' from them, I nodded and went towards the door, then looked over at my parents one more time, smiling with content, I shut it while Lucius and I strolled to his car.

"You look beautiful today" he said giving me a cheesy grin.

"oh shut up, do I look ugly on a daily basis" I asked rolling my eyes playfully

"well.... Maybe" he said while laughing and running towards the driver's seat.

"I swear you're lucky, I want to maintain my perfect record in school and not show up late" I scowled at him.

"Just get in, you talk a lot" He grinned while entering the car. Once again, I gave him a scowl which he shrugged off.

Soon we were both in and he drove off. The ride was silent and comfortable, no cheesy comment or insults, it was just calm, both of us lost in our own thoughts. "Earth to Rose, earth to Rose snap snap" Lucius waved his hands at my face.

"What" I snapped at him. "we've arrived you dummy" he smirked as if I wasn't glaring daggers at him.

"oh, em... do I have to tell you let's get down, you can't do anything without me ugh" I said playfully while walking out.

"Wait what... Isn't it.. me that... Just woke... Ugh whatever" he replied confused making me giggle. "Come on or we would be late" I continued giggling while he strolled towards me. "just shut up" he gave me a scowl making my giggle even louder. He mumbled something I couldn't quite get under his breath but I didn't stop giggling.

"Hey why are you in such a good mood" Jace said with Brace standing behind him, "hi" I awkwardly waved at Lucius friends. "Who's the awkward one now" Lucius laughed at me while greeting his friends, the bell rang and they went their way while I went mine.

I reached my class and got sitted. Although the bell rung, not many people were in class, it was just me and... my eyes caught a guy I hadn't seen in this class before, he was tall, blond, his hair was a neat high fade cut, sharp jawline and an amber green eyes.

He was the definition of handsome, though not as fine Lucius, he was still really handsome and looked oddly familiar. I was still trying to remember where I saw him then the teacher walked in, "good morning class", she grabbed a marker "Good morning Mrs Dave" we all replied, well most of us did.

Soon the class was over, I was walking towards my locker to get ready for the next class when someone mistakenly bumped into me.

"Ouch" I winced as my books fell off my hands.

"Sorry sorry I'm so sorry, are you okay" the guy said. I looked up and almost in shock "you are... Jason" I said just recognizing him "oh hey, you remember me" he said scratching the back of his neck nervously.

Jason was a kid I met at the orphanage, he always made sure I was safe, did all my chores, gave me most of his food from time to time which I always rejected and made sure I wasn't punished, he acted like he owed me but I couldn't care less about the little guy's presence. I won't lie, I had a thing for him which I made sure was buried deep inside but now I see him again, I feel little sparks inside of me, he's just too attractive and rose what are you thinking...

"Hey sorry, I wasn't looking. So how have life been, don't tell me you're still a snub like before"  Jason said distracting me from my thoughts and also snapping me back to reality.

"No problem, I'm okay and my life has been normal" I replied immediately regretting the last statement. "so can we see after school" Jason asked nervously.

"I'm not sure, I won't be available but I'll see you around" I quickly replied with a little smile on my face, I turned and saw Lucius coming towards me.

He must have spotted me cause he was smiling hard God he looks like he's gone nuts I smiled to myself but then, his facial expression changed, he looked like he could really kill right now, it actually scared me for a bit but as he approached, he tried masking it with a smile which he failed miserably at.

LUCIUS POV
First period was over but the teacher kept us in a little more telling us how to carry out our projects, I got tired and walked out. I walked towards Rose's locker and saw her, I smiled and was going at her direction when I spotted HIM.
