ACT II; Part VII:

ACT III:

FADE IN

EXT. THE IVYWOOD INN; AFTERNOON

INT. THE IVYWOOD INN; THE MAIN ROOM

(TESS is panicking, clearly unsure what to do she rattles the main door one more time hoping that it was just stuck (pause) It was not)

THEO:

(LOOKING over at TESS who was messing with the door, he tells the group;)

Hey, I'll be right back.

BIRDSEYE

(THEO exits THE MAIN ROOM crossing to the LOBBY to find TESS in tears now with her back against the door.)

TESS:

(Softly crying, looks up at THEO; her eyes all puffy and red, wipes her eyes with her sleeve)

TESS (CONT'D):

Sorry, I er look a mess, I just really wanted to be able to get home. My 18th birthday is in 24 hours and my Mom still thinks we are at the library. I... How did we even get here, and why are we still here if we can't leave or find a way out?

THEO:

(His back against the door, he is holding TESS in his arms. He whispers something to her that makes her stop crying for a few moments.)

I love you, you know that. I have since we were in Mrs. Pats class in Kindergarten.

TESS:

(Finally breaks her frown into a smile, swats THEO in the arm.)

You're the worst liar ever. 

THEO:

Am I now?

(She SMILES at him before STANDING up and BRUSHING herself off, he EXTENDS his hand, as they head back into THE MAIN ROOM.)

BETH:

(FRUSTRATED and IMPATIENT)

Great. The two idiots that got us trapped are back! I hope you were discussing a way to get us all out of here.

THEO:

(CHEERFUL)

We were discussing more important things, sorry.

PANDORA:

(To BETH)

Give them a break.

TESS:

(LOOKING around for LEVI, kind of Upset)

Thanks Pandora. Has anyone seen LEVI?!

BASIL:

He's probably somewhere getting drunk!

KATE:

(FURIOUS that BASIL would even ask a question like that)

BASIL! That was highly inappropriate!

BASIL:

(RUNNING around KATE in circles)

Why should I care?

PILOT:

Where's Beth?

(There is a loud CRASH and then SILENCE. There is now a sound of RUSHING WATER coming from UPSTAIRS, we can HEAR LEVI and BETH SCREAM.)

BETH:

(SCREAMS, MUFFLED)

What the heck Levi?

(LEVI without hesitation puts his HAND over BETH's MOUTH so that no one can hear her screams.)

LEVI:

(LEVI is HOLDING a black DUFFEL BAG with the manuscripts in it.)

Now shut up, we need to get out of here with the stuff before anyone realizes we are missing.

(PANDORA and BASIL are LOOKING for BETH and LEVI.)

PANDORA:

(RUNNING up the STAIRS)

Come on, I think I hear them!

BASIL:

I am going to hurt those idiots.

BETH:

(To LEVI)

Jump!

(Within seconds BETH and LEVI JUMP through the PORTAL as soon as they make eye contact with PANDORA and BASIL.)

BASIL:

Those idiots. You know what? Maybe this is destiny for Theo and Tess to stay here with us and not finish our stories. 

PANDORA:

(Whispering but kind of loudly)

I guess you're right. We probably should tell them.
