A soulmate who wasn't meant to be
"Sophia." Wanda whispered softly trying to wake her up.
Today was a beautiful day outside but it wasn't the reason Wanda was excited to wake Sophia up.
Today was June 1st which means it's finally pride month.
"Sophie..." Wanda whispered softly and stroked her hair. Sophia groaned and stirred awake. She was super tired since she came home really late yesterday.
"Good morning my love." Wanda cooed
Sophia turned slightly to look at the clock and saw it was 7am.
"Mama, why did you wake me up so early? It's only 7 and I'm so tired."
"I'm sorry baby." Wanda whispered softly, she was about to say something but she was cut off by Sophia.
"Where's Ivy?" Wanda smiled, "She's downstairs."
"What is she doing up this early? We came back at like 3am yesterday."
Wanda didn't answer, instead she just kissed Sophia's forehead. "Happy pride month sweet girl." she said softly, making Sophia chuckle a little.
"Thank you mama, is that why you woke me up so early?"
"Yes, but also I need you to get ready and come downstairs okay baby?"
"Fine, give me like...10 minutes."
"Okay baby." She stopped by the door, "Hey, I love you."
Sophia smiled, "I love you too mama."
After getting herself ready Sophia got down the stairs only to be met with the compound decorated with pride colors.
Outside were 3 flags fluttering in the wind.
The first was the young avengers flag. It was light purple with their logo on it.
The second was the bisexual flag for Ivy.
And the third one was the lesbian flag for Sophia.
Sophia smiled and made her way to the breakfast table. She saw Ivy in the kitchen with the cutest apron which made her smile even bigger.
She tiptoed across the kitchen and slowly wrapped her arms around Ivy's waist. "Good morning, beautiful." Sophia whispered in her ear
"Good morning my love, happy pride month."
"Happy pride month baby." Sophia said, Ivy turned her head slightly to catch Sophia's lips in a sweet kiss.
"Hmm, I love you." "I love you too."
"What's all this?" Sophia asked
"I just thought it will be a sweet gesture since you officialy came out as a lesbian this year." (A/N: If you're confused, Even though Sophia dated Ivy she didn't confirm her sexualty until later in the book)
Sophia smiled and pecked her lips a few times, "God, I'm so in love with you." Sophia breathed out. Ivy kissed her neck and whispered, "We haven't even got to the best part yet baby."
Sophia shiverd and smiled at Ivy.
"Happy pride love birds!" Yelena and Kate shouted as they walked into the kitchen making the couple laugh.
"Thank you."
They all sat down at the table and ate their breakfast, Sophia casually chatting with Natasha about her week.
Ivy, Yelena and Kate being goofy as always and the tweens and Morgan fooling around.
"I'm proud of you, you know?" Natasha whispered softly to Sophia.
"You changed so much, you became this amazing powerful woman. I mean don't get me wrong you were always so powerful but I don't know something in you being so mature and sure of yourself it's just... you're glowing." she elaborated
Sophia chuckled, "It's not that auntie Tasha, Just being comfortable in my own body... I'm truly happy."
