"mom I'm not gonna die by just looking at dad" I sipped on my coffee. She was being annoying right now and i have no time for any of this
"why do you have to go back to Tokyo anyway?? Just stay in London with me" she continues to brag on the other side of the phone. my parents were divorced and mother took me away from my father, ever since then she wouldn't let me see him. But I'm not a kid anymore
I sighed loudly "mom" i spoke in a stern voice before she finally gave up "fine, I'll let you be just..just be careful okay?"
"yes, I'll be Fine it's not like he's a Bad person" i guess my joke wasn't funny because she stayed quiet "mom?" "oh, um yeah... I'll get going now bye honey" the only thing that was heard after that was the ringing of the phone hanging up.
I hated how she didn't trust me, I hated how everyone thinks I'm still a baby, for fucks sake I'm 20 I can take care of myself
"was it Emma?" my father asked. Oh i forgot to mention, i was in the same room as my father while i called my mom "yeah" I put the mug down on the table
"Look, I Know she hates me but you don't hate me too right?" he asked, fiddling with his rings. "why should I?" And with that,he smiled
"shall we go then?" he stood up from his chair and opened the door for me. I didn't say a word but nodded as we made our way to the parking lot of his apartment building
We hopped in the car and we talked the whole ride, catching up with each others lives and Sharing accomplishments that we both didn't get to witness from each other
"im so happy you have the same interest as me" he said visibly excited "yeah..." He noticed the drop in my mood "are you not happy?"
"of course I am! It's just...I'm nervous"
I looked out of the car window, facing the scenery. We were on our way to his workplace, the reason? He said he wanted me to meet his employees before i inherit the whole building and position he has.... The problem is that i have no idea what his work is.
"they're nice, and if one of them is rude then just... Just ignore them"
He assured me. I laughed at his remark, if an employee is being rude to me i should just ignore them? For goodness sake, i'll be the owner soon. I can't just let an employee walk all over me "or we could just fire them?"
We stepped out of the car and in the building for me and my father to be greeted by good mornings and hellos, I have no idea what they do here, all I know is that they research about something that my mother doesn't want me to know about.

It was nice meeting his employees, i mean they looked pretty serious and scary but they respected me. So i guess it's a win right?
"Miu" my dad called out "Hm?" Humming in response, i turned to him "you haven't met the others yet" he said "others?? There's more?" How many employees did he have? He only nodded and gestured me to follow him
I followed him and we went to the elevator. he pushed the Lower level and spoke "i can't wait for you to meet your siblings"
"siblings?"I know he and mom are divorced but I never expected to have siblings, I mean it's possible but I just never thought about it.
"you're going to love them" The elevator door opened and I followed him to a room with nothing but white walls my eyes widened as I saw children in lab gowns. They looked skinny, tired and most of all, on the verge of dying.
Siblings?? These are my siblings? And how many of them are there?
All the children saw us enter the room and they lined up, "good morning children" dad spoke
