When Jake woke up he froze. He had completely forgotten where he was but he was soon reminded when strong arms pulled him closer. Right, he was here, In the Myers house, in the arms of a serial killer with an unhealthy obsession. Jake knew how wrong this was, how horrified his fellow survivors would be if they ever found out about this... Jakes head was laying on Michaels strong chest, he slept like a board, eerily still and quiet, perfectly fitting of the man that held him oh so close. Jake sighed softly running his fingers down Michaels chest and stomach. Michael shifted a bit, reminding Jake that he was actually alive. The survivalist wondered if his friends missed him or even noticed if he was gone, however he was far too comfortable to even think about moving. Michael was warm and, funnily enough, like a big friendly bear. "Michael?" Jake mumbled into his chest. His voice was deep and scratchy heavy from sleep.

It was clear Michael was now awake as he ran his hands through Jake's hair. Jake looked up to see Michaels face. He loved the way he looked, long blond hair with just a bit of stubble across his chin. His eyes were beautiful. One dark blue the other milky white and blind. A crooked scar ran down his blind eye. Jake couldn't help but stare. Michael raised an eyebrow. "Sorry. You're just too fucking handsome." Jake couldn't lie. A small smile tugged at Michaels lips. It felt weird seeing the once silent and emotionless killer get flustered over a little compliment. "It's true." Jake buried is face into his chest. "How long have we been here?" Jake mumbled tracing his thumb over Michaels knuckles. His hand was massive, everything about the killer was really. "Probably 8 hours." Jake answered his own question not expecting a response from his silent companion.

Jake couldn't help but melt into the feeling of Michaels strong hand rubbing his back. It was probably pure desperation to wanted and loved rather than actual feelings for the man. Jake guessed that if they met in a different way, he would never be in this position. "I should probably go back." Jake signed and sat up straddling Michaels waist. Michael frowned, very clearly not wanting him to go. "I'm sorry Michael but what would the others think if I'm gone for too long? They already know you've been hanging around. They'll be suspicious." Jake felt bad for having to leave the giant of a man under him. Michael squeezed his wrist. God how could he be so cute? "You can walk back with me if it makes you feel better." Jake smiled warmly at him. Michael seemed to agree as he let go of his wrist. "Come on let's go." Jake stood up and stretched his sore muscles. Jake yelped as he was swooped up into strong arms holding him bridal style. "I can walk yknow!" Jake laughed. Michael shrugged without looking at him. Awkwardly he grabbed his mask from the side table next to the bed. Jake did the honors of slipping it back on his face.

He already missed the blond's surprisingly soft sweet looking face. After a while of walking, they where back to the campfire. Close enough, just close enough to not be seen by the others. "Thank you. I'll come looking for you later okay?" Jake said softly as Michael gently let him to his feet. Jake turned to face him, looking up to look into the eyeholes of the mask. He wrapped his arms around him in a final goodbye hug. Michael hugged back, ending it in patting Jake's head. The survivor turned and walked back to the campfire. Meg was the first to spot him. "Jake's back!" She cried happily. "Jake!" Laurie added standing up to greet him. "What happened where were you? We were all worried sick!" Laurie grabbed his face examining it. "I'm fine I'm fine just needed some time alone." Jake chuckled. "Your baby-sitter side is really showing Laurie." Jake giggled. He sat down on a log close to the fire looking into the burning pile of sticks.

"You seem to be in a better mood." Claudette added sitting next to him. They had always been close friends, but since everything with Myers they had hardly spoken at all. It made Jake sad, he felt horrible for leaving his friend without any answers like that. "Yeah I am. Thanks Claud. By the way, how have you been?" Jake added an extra emphasis on 'you'. The botanist smiled, "good as you can be for an endless hellscape." Jake couldn't help but laugh, it was true, this place was an absolute hell. All expect for Michael, he was a light in the mist to Jake at this point. "Well that's better than dead at least." The pair chatted for what Jake could guess was a couple hours while Kate played guitar. After a while, the camp settled down and slowly everyone began to drift off.
