I miss the days when I saw your face lookin across the room
Even just your presence took away the grey and gloom
I always asked why the heck did she agree to be with me
But I found out I was just another wasn't meant to be
I loved you for your qualities not really for your looks
I loved how smart you were when you taught me stuff from books
I wish you could see through my eyes yourself time and time again
You'd lose your insecurities and finally be content
Looking back now I know that still wouldn't be enough
There's so many things wish I could've helped you with when your life was ruff
Then again it still wouldn't work, you never let me in
Instead you shut me out and discarded me like trash in a bin
Love is such a powerful drug almost like a disease
I wish I could just cut it out and ignore it when I please
I still miss you every day even after all you did
You put my heart through hell and back with no love given god forbid
I dream of you night after night your memory is all I see
I wish your memory would just finally leave me be
It hurts enough not having you here
But the dreams keep coming instilling fear

I miss you
PoetryWe all have that one person we still miss. We think of them even when we're trying to have fun and move on. We see them in our dreams which turn into nightmares which end with us yelling their name in our sleep.
