Narrator:
Jakes house wasn't really a home to him, all thanks to his father. Jakes father is an alcoholic due to the passing of jakes mother in a car crash. He became abusive after a while.. he used the "I will never do it again" card a few too many times.
Jakes pov:
I come back after a long day at school of being humiliated and just plain out bullied, hoping to just go to bed and not disturb my dad. What an asshole he is.
I run up to my bedroom and lay on my bed, closing my eyes. After a while of trying to go to sleep, I couldn't in result of the fear my dad had ahold of me. I sit up and stare at the sculpture I have spent 4 months on. It was a mannequin, only dressed with dolls all over, I got them from garage sells, thrifting, trash cans etc. some think it's creepy, but I think it's awesome!
I stand up then walk to the sculpture, examining it to make sure I haven't missed anything major that needs fixing. After I scanned it, I started sticking more onto it as I get a call from my dad.
Lucas- "JAKE" he belted
It made me jump, thinking about what was gonna happen to me now.
Jake- "Yes?!" I yell back hesitant and uncomfortably.
Lucas- "GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE" he seemed agitated.
I sit on my bed for less than 30 seconds, preparing myself for what I'm gonna encounter with my dad.
All of a sudden, he marches up the stairs, screaming the walls down, slamming my door open.
Lucas- "IVE BEEN AT WORK ONLY TO COME BACK WITH THE DISHES STILL IN THE SINK. EXPLAIN YOURSELF. WHAT GETS YOU SO BUSY THAT YOU CANT DO THE DISHES?!?!?!" He looked over at the mannequin.
Jake- "I'm sor-" I get cut off by my father smashing my mannequin to pieces. All that time and effort.. waisted. I tried to stop him but he was too strong.
Lucas- "NO MORE DOLLS, JAKE." As he threw the baseball bat down, along with slamming my door making my room shake.
Why me...? What have I done to make him hate me so much. I picked up a picture of my mom, dad and I in the photo all together. He used to be kind and gentle.. but now he's just.. angry. He's different.
