It's been a little over a month since Ashton went on tour. We text each other almost daily but he's only called me a few times. I miss him, but I know that he's insanely busy. But today starts his one week break before the band heads to Mexico.

Michael and Luke are staying in Paris for a couple days, but Ash and Calum are flying back to California. So that's where I am: picking the rhythm section up from the airport. Ashton has been acting weird the past couple of days, and I'm kinda worried that my worst fear is coming true: he's coming home to dump me.

The jet lands and my favorite person in the world steps out of it. I get out of my car and make my way to him. He smiles and pulls his suitcase behind him, dropping the handle when he reaches me. He picks me up and crushes me against his chest, and the scent of Ashton fills my nose. I sigh happily and wrap my arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.

"I missed you so much," he mumbles, hugging me even tighter.

"I missed you," I breathe out. "So, so much."

He pulls back from the hug and pecks my lips hard. Cal groans from behind him. "Gross, guys." Ash laughs and sets me down, turning to Calum.

"Don't get jealous."

Calum mumbles something under his breath and Ash shoves him playfully. They playfully shove each other back and forth for a minute before they both laugh. I smile watching them; Calum and Ashton have such a unique friendship.

**

After dropping Calum off at his house, Ashton and I head back to our house. Ash is a little jittery; he keeps fidgeting, moving the visor back and forth, crunching and uncrunching my water bottle, and finger drumming on literally everything. His excessive fidgeting is making my anxiety skyrocket.

"What is up with you?" I ask, looking at him when we stop at a red light.

"Hmm?" he asks.

"What is up with you?" I repeat and he shrugs.

"Nothing, why?"

"You haven't sat still since Calum got out of the car."

"Just excited to be home," he brushes off my concerns and starts playing with the window. Up and down, up and down. I groan and he stops with the window, but starts drumming his fingers on his knees.

"Ashton!" I exclaim, getting frustrated. "Seriously, what is wrong?"

He stops drumming his fingers and for the first time since he got in the car, he stops moving. "When we get home, we need to talk."
