When the terror of Voldemort was widespread amongs the magic world, the Sorcerer supreme and Scarlet witch decided to help the magicians defeat Voldemort.
In the process, the most of the master of mystic arts were killed including Wanda and Strange who had to sacrifice their lives in defeating Voldemort.
After their death the couple's two year old son Patrick was left in the care of Wong and the Mystic arts gradually became extinct overtime.
Patrick grew up with wong who taught him Mystic arts so that he could become a great sorcerer like his father. Patrick since childhood also had the powers which he inherited from his mother.
At the age of thirteen, Wong fell severely ill and he wanted to send Patrick at a safe place before his death. So he wrote a letter to Dumbledore for giving admission to Patrick.
