okay so I know people always say "love isn't easy" or "the course of true love never did run smooth" or whatever they want to make themselves feel better, and sure, maybe love isn't a walk in the park. but I feel like people have a misconception of love.
if you don't feel terrible when you fight, you do not love them. if you never miss them or want to talk, you do not love them. if you want their bestfriend, you do not love them. if you can sleep just fine after a bad fight, you do not love them.
also, abuse is not love. if they cheat on you, they do not love you. if they say they hate how you look, they do not love you. if they point out flaws, they do not love you.
I mean yes I know it is super hard to say "I love you", but you can say it without using those words.
"how are you doing?"
"did you sleep okay?"
"have you eaten today?"
"remember to buckle up"
"drive safe"
"I made this for you"
"I love your..."
"I miss you"
those are all ways to say it without using the exact words. but please, if you do not love them, do not say that you do. please.
