Unfazed by the gun still pointed at him, the boy's smile persisted, his voice gentle and understanding.

"Are you hungry? If you accept my help, I could treat you to a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant."

Caught off guard by the boy's kindness and unwavering compassion despite being met with violent words, Accelerator's grip on the gun loosened slightly. He hesitated, torn between his ingrained distrust and the gnawing emptiness in his stomach.

Accelerator was surprised by his statement. It made him think about something.

As he followed the boy, his mind was filled with skepticism. The boy's unwavering kindness and willingness to help seemed almost unnatural to him. It sparked a thought in his mind.

"Is this person suffering from brain damage?"

Accelerator's inner turmoil wrestled with his pride and hunger, ultimately giving way to his desperate need for sustenance. With a sigh of resignation, he reluctantly slid the handgun back into its concealed spot under his winter jacket. Lowering his defenses, he begrudgingly agreed to accept the boy's offer.

"Tchhhhhh, fine," he muttered under his breath, his tongue clicking in annoyance. He felt a pang of irritation at having to suppress his pride for the sake of survival, knowing that he could endure days without food. However, the memory of his previous encounter and the fear of unforeseen circumstances nudged him towards caution.

A victorious smile lit up the boy's face as he celebrated his triumph.

"Alright! Follow me, and I'll show you a good restaurant with tasty food," he exclaimed with enthusiasm, gesturing for Accelerator to join him on the journey.

Accelerator has died.

Correction he felt as though a part of him had died. The once-mighty Level 5 esper, capable of facing entire armies and causing widespread destruction, was now being pitied by an average high school boy. It was a painful reminder of how far he had fallen from his former glory.

"Oh, how the mighty have fallen," he thought bitterly, as images of people mocking and taunting him flooded his mind.

"Fuck this. Fuck this shit, fucking fuck." Accelerator cursed silently, his frustration and anger building up inside him. He sat in the restaurant, waiting for the employee to bring their orders, feeling a mix of resentment and disbelief towards the boy who either possessed an overly pure heart or was simply too naive to understand the reality of Accelerator's situation.
