Phew good thing that shortie gave up. The rest nodded to that demon shortie's words. Heh, if only it was that easy to do. "You two sure are getting along huh bro?" Mugs said changing the topic. "I agree with Mugman, ever since the fight with the devil, you two have gotten more closer" Felix added. "W-what are you guys talking about? We're the same as we first met!" I denied, trying to hide my embarrassment. "Yeah! For once I agree with him" Bendy agreed

We ended up chatting about it for a while, for a moment I feel calm and not worrying about those 'feelings' , that is until Boris decided it's time to pack up and hit the road again. Dammit! It's back!

I don't know why but I feel a bit dissapointed with shortie agreeing with me. Y'know i only said that because I don't want to be seen weak. It's better for them to see us as rivals then 'friends'. But.. I do admit that I feel a lot more comfortable with him than before

it's not that I'm still scared of the devil. judging from how hard his butt was beaten, he's never gonna touch me or my bro again

I decided to walk behind that shortie. I can't help but think that things are going to go wrong so I'm going to be by his side in case something terrible actually happened. Don't get it wrong, we're still seeing each other as rivals. Nothing special between us, just rivals. Still we need his skills in order to fix the machine, Boris may be a technician too but Bendy's more experienced. Besides he's the main reason we're doing this stupid quest

It wasn't long until we reached our destination or maybe it was long but I didn't pay much attention to it?

In front was a huge old building made with concrete. Even if it's thousands of years old, it's still standing tall. Lots of wild plants grow surrounding it and vines are growing on the tall pillars. But what's mostly interesting is the middle of the ruins.

There it was... The last missing piece

"Here we are, the ruins" Boris said as he takes a glimpse at the map and back at the building. "And there's the missing piece!" Bendy points at the center of the ruins. "What a beautiful sight, isn't it?" Felix beamed. "But this seems a bit too easy, we should observe the surroundings first before taking it" Felix explained, he grabbed a stick and tossed it near the last gear

Suddenly tentacles made out of ink showed up from the ground and grabbed the wood stick before capturing it and swallow it to the ground. "I knew it! There's no way they would make it easy!" "So how are we going to get it?" Boris asked. "I think there's a pattern to this, look at the tiles. If we throw sticks at them, we can find a safe path to get it" Felix answered

"Just like in one of your books!"

"Exactly!"

Felix made a plan, first off we collected some sticks. Each of us at least has three sticks. Once we're done, we started throwing them at the tiles (the tiles looks like a chess) and when one there's a safe tile one of us jump to it. The steps then will be done repeatedly until the person reached the center.

"Another great plan from THE Mr. Felix!" Bendy praised, that earned a blush from the cat himself. "Aw thanks champ. it's nothing, really".
"Who's going to jump?" I asked, breaking the awkward atmosphere. "Oh! Let me do it!" Mugs volunteered.
