Chapter 1: Addition

Kenji happily started running in, arms behind him as he laughed out, "hey, hey!"

Yosano, meanwhile, stopped a bit farther off to inspect the scene in front of her. "Please don't tell me there are no casualties," she groaned, "talk about boring..."

Ranpo on the other hand stopped quickly too. He turned to Dazai before announcing, "you've gotten better at solving cases, Dazai. But my logical skills will solve the big ones!"

"Oh dear," you muttered, "what's this boy doing here? Is he alright? Just what mess have you gotten yourself into now, Dazai?"

Before Dazai could answer you, Kenji squatted next to the boy's resting body and exclaimed, "he's not dead. What are we going to do with him when he wakes up? He didn't know he could do this, did he?"

"Apparently, or so it seems," Kunikida responded before opening his book and looking at one of his notes he quickly jotted down. "Now what, Dazai? He's been designated a security threat."

Dazai simply let out a small chuckle in response before answering, "I've already made my decision. We're going to make him one of us."

Kenji's eyes sparkled with excitement as the words left Dazai's mouth. He gasped, "cool!!"

"Ooo," you exclaimed, "it'll be so much fun to have another person on the team!"

Yosano looked at the boy in disgust before groaning, "seriously!?"

"Dazai, you are an idiot." Ranpo announced, face slightly scrunched up as he noticed how you looked at the weretiger.

Meanwhile, Kunikida deflated before yelling and waving his notebook around at Dazai, "OOHHH!? WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO DECIDE THAT, HUH!?"

"There, there, my weird little tiger friend," Kenji said during Kunikida's yelling as he patted Atsushi's head.

Dazai, completely ignoring Kunikida's outburst, turned to the boy and shouted, "up, Atsushi!"

It didn't take long before the boy, Atsushi, slowly opened his eyes and sat up. "H-hello?" He turned to his side and spotted Kenji. He asked, "who are you?"

Before Kenji could answer his question, Dazai spoke up and questioned, "Atsushi, do you remember anything from when you were transformed?"

Now, Atsushi had fully turned around to see the crowd of people before him: Dazai, Kunikida, a pretty yet deadly-looking woman, a smiling detective, and one other agent: you, who he just couldn't sum up with words. Your presence alone made him feel nervous to speak. Despite this he asked Dazai, "what are you talking about?"

Instead of answering his question, Dazai simply just pointed at Atsushi's right hand and announced, "oh, look at that. Your right hand didn't change back."

Atsushi, now awfully confused, repeated, "my right hand?" He then slowly raised his furry, transformed hand. It looked like a tiger's leg helping you to start putting one and two together on what was happening. Atsushi moved it around a little bit, taking a long time to process what he saw. It wasn't until a few moments later that his brain actually registered his monstrous hand. "WHAAAAAT!?" The weretiger screamed, standing up and starting to shake his hand all over the place.

ATSUSHI NAKAJIMA
ABILITY: BEAST BENEATH THE MOONLIGHT
LIKES: CHAZUKE, CATS, CHAMELEONS, YOKOHAMA
DISLIKES: HIMSELF, THE ORPHANAGE HE USED TO LIVE IN

"WHAT THE-! WHAT IS THIS? WHAT THE HELL!? GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!!!"

As Atsushi continued screaming, Dazai suddenly shouted out, "Atsushi Nakajima!"

Said boy looked up, seemingly shocked by Dazai's bluntness. Despite this, Dazai continued to say more matter-of-factly, "from this day forward, you're going to be one of us. You're the new member... of the Armed Detective Agency."

You couldn't help but gleefully smile as Dazai officially announced the news to the newest agency member. Atsushi, on the other hand, looked completely lost. "Uhh..." he muttered before asking, "I'm what?"
