Chapter 1: Addition

The suicidal maniac was currently resting his head on his desk, slowly falling asleep. It didn't look like he had any intention of working anytime soon, "but I don't wanna unless (Y/N) can also come along..."

As Kunikida started yelling at Dazai in the distance, you walked over to your own desk and simply planted your head on the wood. Eventually, you could hear Dazai whining as Kunikida dragged him out of the office.

Just another regular day...

After finishing your work (and even a bit of Dazai's work despite the fact that he never noticed someone did half of it for him), you were bored beyond belief.

The other gifted agent, Kenji Miyazawa, had entered while you were still in the middle of your work. Though currently he seemed busy staring at a plant, so you had decided to let him do that in peace.

"Hey, (Y/N)," Yosano called out, "want a bottle of sake?"

You looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "But don't you already drink from that? Also... how many bottles have you had?"

"Don't worry, I'm still sober to say the least," Yosano replied, not completely answering your question. Honestly, you couldn't help but feel a bit worried. Just how many had she drunk?

Suddenly, the door slammed open and a lone Kunikida stood at the entrance of the office. Unsurprisingly, Dazai was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey, Kunikida!" Ranpo exclaimed from his seat, taking a lollipop out of his mouth as he did so. "Need our help with something?"

"That's correct, Ranpo," Kunikida answered, "Dazai claims to have found the tiger, and we're to build a perimeter around the western warehouse in District 15. We have to help him capture it."

Junichiro tilted his head and asked, "will all of us be going? I just started my work..."

"No. I already talked to Fukuzawa-dono about this and he told me to bring Ranpo, Yosano, (Y/N), and Kenji," Kunikida explained.

"Alright," you exclaimed, happy to finally witness some action. "Well then, let's get going!"

As Kunikida angrily rushed ahead, you walked slowly behind with the other three detectives. "Sheesh," Yosano whispered to you, "Kunikida seems pissed."

"It's probably just because of Dazai," you explained, "that's the case eighty-nine percent of the time."

It didn't take long before the retrieve came across the warehouse Dazai was in. Kunikida started running in first, leaving the four of you behind. You could hear him yell, "there you are Dazai!"

"I don't know about you all, but I'm not going to waste my energy and run," Ranpo explained with a shrug as he calmly walked with the rest of the group.

"Actually, I completely agree with you on that one," you replied, following Ranpo's lead.

It wasn't long before you arrived in the warehouse as well. Kunikida's voice echoed throughout the building. "Thanks to you, I wasted other agents' times. First round is on you," Kunikida explained to Dazai. The two men were standing in front of a boy, whose face was on the ground and whose bottom was raised into the air.
