She wakes up, puts on her make up,
Covers her tear stains,
If people saw her cuts they'd think she were insane,
In reality she isn't,
She's just given up on life,
So she cuts with a knife,
Hoping it'll end her,
So she'll no longer have to suffer,
So she won't have to put up with people that think they're tougher,
So she can drift off into a dream instead of living a nightmare,
Though she has friends, she's lonely,
But she wants someone to be lonely with her,
Someone that will always be there to care for her,
Someone that can wipe her tears away for good,
But instead she remains misunderstood,
Fake Smiling for her friends is as easy as cake,
Hiding who she really is, is what she does best,
Getting to know her is like trying to complete a test,
Each day she holds her feelings in until she makes her way back home,
She just wishes for good things to come,
But it's always the bad that does,
She's tired of living the same routines,
She wants changes like the seasons change,
But she cry's herself to sleep feeling helpless,
And her problems aren't dealt with,
The more she goes on, on, on,
The more she falls,
The more she crawls,
Into the darkest depression,
Not knowing how to cope,
She can only mope,
But what she doesn't know is that the someone she hopes for,
Will eventually come,
And rescue her from hating herself,
But until then she lays restlessly, desperately, lonely,
Hanging onto her life by the threads,
Her heart in shreds,
And her tears turning into a sorrowful salty sea,
That makes her feel dead on the inside.
