Queen: Cerberus, and an army of them at that.

Violet: Is that bad?

Oracle: Very! There's no way we'll be able to take these guys on at our level.

The girls all stood up together, exhausted at the fight they were going to have to face. They steadied their breathes and

Mako: Don't give up you guys!

The girls looked back at Mako who was standing on top of Futaba's persona.

Mako: Don't give up yet! I know you guys are tired and sick of fighting, but you can't give up yet. Your families are on the line here! You love your families, don't you? Then fight those Shadows, get stronger, and save the people you love!

Just as Mako got done talking, a wave of energy burst from the arcade as Ryuko walked out of it, her clothes in tatters with one leg and her stomach almost fully exposed. There was also blood and ash running down her face from the wounds she received. She continued walking until she stood right in front of the girls, facing the group of Shadows.

Ryuko: She's right y'know. You're the ones that wanted to get stronger right? Well then quit your bitching and get stronger already! I don't care how strong these shadows are or how tired you are of doing this! The people I care about are on the line here, so I ain't gonna back down no matter what's in front of me! Besides, these bastards ruined my favorite outfit and I'll make sure they all pay triple for it!

She pulled out both of her blades and headed for the incoming shadows while the other girls watched on before picking themselves back up.

Queen: She's right, now's the time for us to start improvising. Retired or not, we're still Phantom Thieves of hearts. We never back down when we're needed no matter what. We have people we care about

Girls: Right!

Inspired by Mako's speech and Ryuko's bravery, the girls also began to take the fight to the powerful shadows. Makoto charged up her fists and legs with nuclear magic before using it to deal with the shadows.

Queen: You may be a little resistant to my style of attacking, but I'm running low on stamina, so I just have to improvise. At least this'll cause a little more damage.

She ran up and punched a few shadows into a nearby disco hall. Sensing the incoming shadows quickly approaching behind her, she runs inside the dancing palace.

Once inside, she found a bunch of other Shadows cheering around a metal cage. They were a lot slimmer than the regular shadows they fought. Makoto could only come up with one, reason for why this is happening.

Queen: So, he still has the power to interpret people the way he wants? It must be because he still has some control over them in reality.

The other Cerberus run up behind Makoto, only to get whipped away by Ann.

Panther: I saw you run in here and thought I'd help out. Looks like you had the same idea as me with the weapons, huh Queen.

Makoto looked down at Ann's whip, which was currently on fire thanks to Carmen. It takes Makoto a moment to realize a very important detail that her friend had missed.

Queen: So, your whips on fire... Wait Ann don't-

Ann swings her burning whip and accidentally makes restores all of the Cerberus' healthes.
