4. When I leave my dr, time freezes and continues when I get back

This is optional, but it’s very important to specify. I don’t want anything to happen in my dr while I’m not there.

5. I am immune to unintentionally shifting back to my cr

This just means that I will only shift back to my cr when I 100% intend to. Some people accidentally shift back if they get scared in their dr, but I don’t want to risk that.

6. I am immune to carrying trauma back to my cr from my dr

A lot of things that happen in TWD are traumatizing. Witnessing death, being constantly surrounded by zombies. The characters in the show are so obviously traumatized. I want to have the Walking Dead experience, but I don’t want to be traumatized when I get back to my cr. I have scripted this so that I can show and feel emotion when things happen in my dr, but be overall unaffected when I shift back to my cr.

7. when I get to my dr, I will smell _____ and hear ______

This is a method used by shifters so that they truly know they have shifted. You can script that you hear a character saying your name, or you smell coffee or fire. Anything that reminds you of your dr.

8. when I fully reach my dr my eyes will automatically open

So many shifters complain about opening their eyes too soon, only to find that they haven’t shifted and have basically ruined their progress. I scripted this to ensure that I will not open my eyes too early.

9. anything I learn in my dr, I will remember when I get back to my cr.

This doesn’t work for everything, specifically physical skills. If you learn to play guitar in your dr you probably won’t have the muscle memory when you get back to your cr. However, I’m fairly certain it applies to knowledge.

10. people understand my sense of humor

I’m not sure about this, but I saw it in a video and it makes sense. It would be terrible to make a joke and have nobody laugh at it.

11. immune to being overly attached to anything from the dr when I come back to my cr and vise-versa

This can help insure you won’t be attached to people in your dr when you leave them. It also insures you won’t get homesick when you are in your dr. I can’t back this up, but it should work theoretically.

12. my dr is safe, all consequences of shifting to it will be

This is just a precaution. It’s important to take precautions when you’re shifting, manifesting, etc. Also: this is not intended to make you question whether or not shifting is safe in the first place, because it is
13. life in my dr will go on like in the show; the world is the same in my dr as it is in the show I’m not sure if this is necessary, but I wanted to script it just in case.

14. I will develop my relationships with every character if I get the chance to interact with them; I will remember every person I meet and every event that takes place

Self-explanatory

15. Everything is familiar

I guess this is another precaution. It just means that when I get to my dr, it doesn’t feel foreign. I feel like I belong there. I am familiar with my surroundings. This is especially important with The Walking Dead. I don’t want to get there and be freaked out because I’m in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

16. Everyone is unaware of the fact that I have shifted and will never find out

Personally I think this is important to script, but some shifters tell people in their dr that they have shifted. It’s up to you
17. Even though I skipped scripting a bunch of stuff, like my character’s life history, when I get to the dr I will know everything about her history; my subconscious will ‘fill in the gaps’ just the way I want it to

So. This is very wordy. But it just means I will know everything about myself (the character I have created and will be during the shift). I know my family, their names, where they live. I remember my childhood. I remember songs, movies, books I’ve seen and read. This is important for me personally to script because I didn’t go into a lot of detail when I created this character, but all people are complex in their own ways. My subconscious should fill in everything that I didn’t script
18. I am immortal and immune to walker bites/scratches

The universe can be picky when it comes to scripting. I feel that if I only scripted that I was immortal, the universe would find some sort of loophole, and I could get bitten and then have to amputate my leg off, but I would still be alive. I really don’t want to have to lose my leg, or arm, or anything like that, so the easiest way to prevent that is just to script that you’re immune to bites/scratches.

19. I am unable to kill humans, but I can hurt them

I don’t want the weight on my shoulders of killing someone! This isn’t necessary, but I just morally can’t do that.

20. I am immune to extreme injuries

Me trying to prevent the universe from finding loopholes again. In my opinion, extreme injury means broken bones, loss of limbs, loss of senses, excessive bleeding, excessive head trauma, or getting physically or mentally disabled.

21. I will always shift to the correct/intended reality

Precaution. Some shifters talk about accidentally shifting to the wrong reality, I don’t want that happening to me.

22. I am unaware that the shift is scripted

I just want to experience the shift like everyone else there. I don’t want to know when someone’s gonna die, when we’re gonna get attacked, anything like that.

23. the characters, places, and objects in my dr are the same as they are in the tv show by looks, voice, personality, emotions, etc, everything I don’t want a soft Daryl or a merciless Dale. I don’t want a non-spiritual Hershel. I definitely don’t want a cowardly Glenn and Maggie. Those traits are what makes the characters who they are.

24. I become friends with characters that are not named/seen in the show but canonically exist

This is important for several reasons. In between seasons of TWD, a lot of time can go by. Lori’s entire pregnancy, for example! The group meets people on the road, even when it’s not in the show. I want to experience that. When the Woodbury people move into the prison, we only get to meet a few of them. But the others exist, and they certainly interact with the Atlanta group.

25. people stay alive until they die in the show or my presence is able to save them

26. am used to the conditions that come from living in the zombie apocalypse.

27. am used to violence, blood, death, and gore.

28.I know how to protect myself. I am able to defend myself from people and zombies.

29.my pain tolerance has become very high.

30. am a fast learner. I am easily adaptable.

31.iam very good at face-to-face combat. I have developed strength over the course of the apocalypse. I have great stamina.

32. am mentally stable. I am confident in myself. I am not prone to addiction.
