Cas was sitting on the front porch of the house. He has been having a gut wrenching feeling lately. A feeling like something bad was going to happen. He thought long and hard, but nothing seemed to have come to mind. So he just sat there staring at the ground. All of a sudden he heard the door slam. He looked over to see a worried Sam.
Sam was pacing back and forth grabbing his hair and flipping it back.
"Dean hasn't been here in days, and it's really starting to worry me," Sam said still pacing around.
All of a sudden it hit him like a rock. Dean went out for a walk and never returned. The only reason you knew how he didn't go out too far was because his impala which was basically his heart and soul was sitting in the drive way.
Cas sat their worried. So he got up and walked around trying to clear his head, but try to find Dean at the same time.
*A lake 5 miles away*
Dean was sitting at the edge of the lake skipping pebbles and feeling the ice cold water in between his toes.
"Nobody cares. How can anybody even love me anyway?" Dean muttered to himself.
Dean had been hearing voices in his head lately. Which is the reason why he walked out that night. He didn't wanna have his baby brother and the man he loved put up with him.
"Dean. Nobody gives a shit. Instead of making horizontal cuts cut vertically. It will end your pain a lot faster," the voices said to him.
Dean looked at his arm full of cuts. He thought that maybe they were right, but he wasn't going to listen though. Something was holding him back. He was trying not to listen. But listening to something inside your head that doesn't want to go away is a hard thing to do.
*in the forest which is a mile away*
Cas was looking at his feet as he was walking. This feeling was only getting worse and worse. It was bothering Cas so much. He loved Dean and not on the ways you'd expect. He loved him as a boyfriend. Someone he could share the rest of his life with. This feeling made him feel like there was a possibility that it wouldn't be able to happen that way.
Cas wasn't really paying attention to where he was exactly going and ran into a tree.. He then looked around and saw Dean sitting on the shore of the lake.
He didn't want Dean to know he was there so Cas casually hid behind the tree so he could try to see what exactly was up with Dean.
He heard Dean yelling. He looked around the best he could to try to see who was around, but nobody was there. He was talking to himself. Cas was trying to fight the urge to say something. Dean looked like he was in so much pain and agony. Dean stood up and walked along the shore line.
He was still curious so Cas followed.
Dean felt something odd. Like something was watching him so he looked behind him, but he saw nobody. So he continued walking. He heard footsteps behind him. So he looked over his shoulder but he still saw nothing. So he kept walking. The final time he heard a crunch behind him so he turned a full 360 to see it had been Cas all along.
"Cas. Um. Uh what are you uh..." Dean started. He then took a quick glance at his arm and pulled his sleeve down.
"Doing here? Sam and I have been worried sick about you ever since you left. You did it all of a sudden. I just wanted to find you to make sure you were okay," Cas replied.
"You shouldn't have came," Dean replied.
"Why not?" Cas asked.
"Can't you tell? I'm nothing but a freak!" Dean shouted.
"Freak? No no no you're nothing of the sort," Cas responded inching closer to Dean.
Dean just stood still he felt frozen.
"You piece of shit how could you have ever let him know? Oh you are really going to pay for it now!" The voices said.
All of a sudden it seemed like the voices took over. Like a demon possessed him. He felt a rush of adrenaline go through him and he darted away. Cas ran for him, but before he knew it he had lost sight of Dean.
Dean made it to a part of the lake that he had never been to before. It seemed to have a more morbid feeling. The voices were worse than ever now. Dean found a piece of plass on the ground. He stared at it long and hard. He lifted up his sleeve and began to slice himself open.
"Vertically! Vertically!" The voices yelled.
Cas felt like he was closer. He just followed Deans footprints along the shore until they ended. He then looked down and saw Dean sitting down with his head in his hands rocking back and forth.
Dean was sobbing and yelling, "Go away you asafaces! Just go away!"
Dean picked up the glass again and was about to listen to them. He was about to cut vertically to end all of the pain. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Cas squatted down by Dean and held him in his arms. He glanced at Dean's arm and looked at Dean in the eyes with his test filled ones.
They sat their in silence. Dean put his head in Castiel's chest.
"I... I... I love you Cas," Dean said to Cas.
"I love you too Dean. More than you will ever know."
They gazed into each other's eyes for a little longer. Then they started leaning toward each other and closing their eyes. They then kissed.
They both had a little smirk on their face. They did the same thing again. This turned into a make out session.
"Hey why don't we get back to the house? We can have some more fun there." Cas said to Dean helping him up.
Dean nodded.
Then they walked off back to the house to get Dean cleaned up and have their "fun".
