"Mom! Stop asking me that!" I shouted
"Ok, so when did you start liking him?" She asked me
"Ok fine. I kinda like him, Anthony is different also. I never liked Anthony as a romantic way, but I kinda like Justin." I said
"Yea, I figured that out." She said laughing
"Ok, so what's his name?" Mom asked me then sat down
"Uh, his name is Justin." I said
"Ok cool, how cute is he, on a scale of one to ten? She asked
"I don't know, like a eight?" I said
"So, are you going to ask him out?" She asked
"Probably not, I don't even know if he's even gay or not, and I don't want to not be friends anymore if he rejects me." I said
"Ok, fair enough. Oh look at the time, we have to go, or you're going to be late for school." She said
"Ok let's go." I said
Middle of the School Day, 6th period
Justin's POV
It was the middle of sixth period, and I had Spanish this period. My teacher, Mr.Garcia, was absent today, so our sub, told me to bring the attendance sheet down to the main office.
And then I saw Trent.
I really like him, I've always thought he was cute when I first met him, but now I think I have a crush on him.
I want to ask him out really bad, but I don't want to jeopardize our friendship, and he could easily be homophobic, and then hate me in general.
It looks like he is going to the bathroom, I guess I'll go in too, just to talk to him.
Luckily there was no one in the bathroom so we could talk in private.
"Hey Trent, how you doing?" I asked him
"Oh, hey Justin, I didn't see you there. I'm doing good, how are you doing?" He asked me
He's really nice, and especially, he's really hot. I think I'm going to just suck it up, and ask him out. And if he rejects me, at least I'll know he doesn't feel that way about me, and hopefully we can still be friends.
"I'm good, thanks Trent." I said
"Wait, Justin, what are you doing in the bathroom at the same time as me right now?" Trent asked me
"Uh, I have a sub for Spanish this period, so he told me to bring the attendance sheet down to the main office. And I saw you go to the bathroom, so I decided to talk to you." I said
"Oh okay, thanks, Justin, that's really sweet." He said
"So uh Trent, can I ask you something?" I asked him
"Uh, yea sure. What do you want to ask me?" Trent asked
"Umm, this is really hard to ask you. Uh, but before I do, can you promise not to hate me after I ask you this?" I asked Trent
