After performing in the New York Broadway musical Rent and winning their first Tony award in 2018, 5 girls decided to embark on a dream in a career but together as a group.
La Diosa Dior [or The Golden Goddess translated into English terms] have been a unstoppable force to be reckoned with ever since their first Grammy wins on March 2022 for best new artist and song of the year.
They just recently dropped three of their drill genre singles sampling music from the shounen anime, Bleach which topped the billboard urban charts for 5 days straight and also following up on their drill rap wave by collaborating on the remix of the heavily popular track “Brotherly Love” with DOA rap affiliates Kay Flock, BLovee and Dougie B.
While they're stronger together as a unit, we also need to dive into how successful each of them are doing solo wise!
Starting with the leader of the group Genesis Amorena, otherwise known as Genny has been getting a lot of modeling deals with Yamamoto, Fenty, Miyake, Bottega, Offwhite and recently Moncler. She has also landed a role as America Chavez on the new Marvel movie, Dr. Strange multiverse of madness that's coming out on May 6th in theatres.
Then is the levelheaded calm and collected member of LDD, Yashira Bolivar aka Zulay: landing in voice acting roles left and right in animation fields first as the hothead yet charismatic rouge from the Sonic The Hedgehog IDW Imposter Syndrome comics Surge The Tenrec. Then, the kind-hearted demon daughter of Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel... Charlotte Morningstar aka Charlie, to the crafty sneaky charming Chalice from the Cuphead show and now the suave magician from Justice League...Zatana!
Next is the beautiful sweetheart of LDD, Nykima Veracruz aka Ocelía. After debuting in the music video of the Jay Critch's single Something Special as the leading lady, she's been booked as busy with doing promotions for the Talk Money Entertainment brand, advertising their hoodies and other merchandising. She's also in the recent season of Bad Girls Club worldwide in the area of Versailles, France. You can also catch her doing a lot of modeling and music video appearances.
And now onto the spunky, tomboyish street smart Belcalis Navarro aka Nasly of LDD who's been doing her own thing with choreography and stunts for movies such as the Fast and Furious franchise and John Wick as well as teaming up with popular internationally renowned choreographer and dancer Parris Goebel to create magic on YouTube. She's also been teasing the La Diosa Dior collaboration with Tite Kubo to work on the newest Bleach season.
Finally, the youngest yet toughest spitfire of the group Nephthys Santana aka Eris. She's been filming for her family's reality show Set It Off With The Santanas which is the highest talked about show on the planet since Keeping Up With The Kardashians! She's been in advertisements for Lavish Beauty by Lavish Lavallais and she's been doing music collaborations with her triplet siblings Kopa Nero and Nysa from Champagne Rose.
The girlies are in their bag as they're getting closer and closer to their Bleach collab as each of the girls have been posting pictures of their respective characters from the franchise on their IG stories even changing their profile pictures to them.
