Akito stared at y/n with jealousy.
She noticed that, that friend of hers was acting a little too nicely to y/n for Akitos liking.
She pouted slightly.
Akito was on a date with Shigure when she noticed you and your 'close' friend at the park feeding the ducks.
"Y/n!" She almost cried out in excitement when she first saw you but as she saw that woman she let her voice go silent.
She saw how your friend smiled at you.
She noticed how you smiled at that friend too.
Akito felt her heart break.
Why? Why did she feel this way?
She chose Shigure she should be happy. But here she was, jealous and bitter of y/ns friend. Was she even a friend? Akito didn't know.
She watched you two from afar with a hateful glare.
You tossed the last of the peas you held into the pond before wiping your hands clean.
"Yay I'm so happy! I love feeding the duckies"
The ducks attacked the peas and continued looking for more food.
"Hey you dork! You're supposed to throw the fruit! Not eat it!"
You told your best 'friend'.
She stuck her tongue out at you and ate another black berry.
"You got a black berry seed stuck against your tongue piercing" you said with a snort.
You reached for the bag of fruit your 'friend' held.
She held it above her head and smirked at you.
"Don't you dare." You said.
Your 'friend' stood up and you were at a loss.
"Fuck you" you muttered shoving her lightly.
"It's not fair! You're way taller then me" you complained.
She brought the bag down and handed it to you.
"I know"
You happily reached for a strawberry.
"You look really pretty today y/n" your 'friend' complimented.
You blushed slightly.
"Thanks dork" you muttered softly.
You both sat back down.
Ducks started to approach you, looking for more food.
You tossed a strawberry at one.
It happily gobbled it up.
Your 'friend' laid down and stared up at the sky.
"I miss being with you. Work isn't fun and it takes me away from you."
She muttered before reaching out and grabbing your hand gently.
"I know! it sucks. but your position is more important. It's okay to focus on work more then me. I'll be right here. Always"
She smiled and pulled you closer.
"Come here!"
You found yourself on top of her. Staring into her beautiful dark eyes. They were so dark you couldn't see the emotion in them sometimes.
They reminded you of someone else.
Someone else's eyes that once looked the same.
You felt your heart break.
You sat back and gave your 'friend' a weak smile.
"Im sorry"
She gave you a sad smile, pulled you back and gave you a hug.
"Hey I know it still bothers you..I just-...I want to make you feel better" she said gently caressing your cheek.
You blushed and leaned into her touch. "Yeah.."
You leaned forward and gave your girlfriend a chaste kiss.
"I love you" you whispered staring into her eyes.
"I love you too"
Akito couldn't look anymore.
"Shigure can we leave?" She asked getting up and moving away quickly.
"What's the matter?" He asked trotting after her.
"Lets just go. Okay?"
She grabbed his hand and pulled him away.
Once they arrived home Akito pushed away Shigure and went to her room.
She locked the door and started to cry.
"I hate it. That should be me! Not her. Me! I deserve y/n not that stupid bitch"
Akito cried for a while.
You on the other hand stayed with your girlfriend. Who was currently running around the park playing frisbee with you.
"That's not fair! You're so much taller then me it flies right over my head!" You said as you ran after the frisbee. You still caught it though much to your surprise.
"Oh fuck yeah!" You whipped it to your girlfriend and it hit her straight in the chest.
She watched it fall to the ground.
"Ow"
You smiled and ran over.
She held out her arms and you jumped right into them.
She happily swung you around for a bit before squeezing you like a rag doll.
"Do you think she'll ever talk to you again?" Your girlfriend asked quietly.
"Maybe? She hasn't reached out though..I mean I did get a new number but I'm sure she'd get it from Tohru. anyway I don't want to bother her. She seems to be happy with him. So I'll leave it at that.
I'm glad she found her happiness and I'm glad I found mine."
You said wrapping your arms around your girlfriends neck tightly.
She smiled and let you down slowly.
"I'm sorry I'm just a little worried. I mean I trust you it's just.."
she went silent.
"Nevermind"
You grabbed her hand and held it tight.
"Don't worry I would never leave you. I would never just drop you for someone else. She made her decision and it wasn't me. I've accepted it and moved on. If she wants to come back I'll gladly be her friend. But that's it. You can trust me. I'm all yours."
She looked down at you and grinned.
"Good"
Akito on the other hand was fighting with Shigure.
"I should have never chosen you!" She screamed at him.
"I lost y/n now and it's all your fault. You tricked me I hate you! Get out. I never want to see you again."
Shigure looked at Akito with disgust and left immediately.
She sunk to the floor in tears.
"I want y/n back" she cried out loud.
She wept for hours until she had no more tears to cry.
She couldn't even call you. You'd gotten a new number and she didn't have it.
Akito didn't have the guts to go back up to you either.
"Maybe Tohru has it..or Kyo maybe Yuki"
She said while looking through her contacts.
"What's the use! shes with someone else! She's happy And I'm alone again. I hate this I want things to go back to the way they used to be.
Just y/n and I. Alone."
Akito hugged her pillow and moaned into it.
"I want y/n back.."
Your girlfriend came in with some pancakes she made. You were huddled under the blanket waiting for her to come watch a movie with you.
"Fuck popcorn we are having pancakes" she said handing you a Plate.
"You just want to use up the pancake mix that you bought from the store so you can go back and buy that new flavor that just came out. Don't you love."
you said happily taking the plate.
"Pshhh no! I just really wanted pancakes"
She said giving you the familiar smile of hers.
You just gave her a deadpanned look.
"Okay so maybe I really want the mix" she said with a chuckle. She bumped you gently.
"Don't call me out like that"
You snorted.
"Okay okay I won't"
You two spent the night watching classic Disney movies.
Akito spent the night laying in the dark with a broken heart.
"I miss y/n" she muttered.
She pulled up a picture of you two together.
That heavy feeling returned in her chest and her heart began to hurt.
Akito put her phone away and fell into slumber.
Dreaming of the past.
And dreaming of what could have been if she had just chosen you.
