ahaha hello everyone. this update is solely for one of my best friends elysianfieId's upcoming fic, control (stylised as ctrl) which follows its protagonist kai as she seeks to investigate the origin of her powers. this task sees her meet and begin working with new york's newest spider-person, the one and only miles morales. i was given full control (haha get it) when making the graphics for this story, so let me show you what i like most out of what i've made for kj!

first of all, the control cover! as you can see, kai's faceclaim is ellie from the last of us. i don't deal with video-game faceclaims often, but i think it worked out pretty well in this case! i've yet to actually play spider-man: miles morales but i *have* played marvel's spider-man and i definitely think both games have a very colourful and bright aesthetic. since my own graphics for now you see me (whose peter parker is primarily based off the video-game portrayal, aka advanced spider-man) are relatively muted, i took advantage of kira allowing me to go crazy! which is why control's graphics are so intense.

and here is the control opening gif! for the graphics i've been making for friends lately, i've been trying to create distinct aesthetics. in this case i've created a logo of sorts for control, which is literally just a ctrl keyboard key but whatever whatever /lh. and of course, it's a spider-person story so i had to slap a web in there somewhere.

control is still in the drafts, but please go check it out when it's up! i personally am really excited to read about kai and miles' story. control is also another entry into the sato-verse, which is less a verse and more a running gag of my characters spencer (american animals) and scout (unspun) sato existing in all my friends' spider-stories to some extent. how spence and scout will appear in control is yet to be seen, but... they're There. Somewhere. how comforting 😭😭
