chapter 60 part 1

Start from the beginning

Cale* said while doing a little mocking bow. He knew what he said was wrong but he truly hated that village after what happened to his mother there. And he was still upset about the brute beating him up that hard. Not the he would admit that.

He then looked back forward and heard the Vice Captain's bitter voice.

"Everything burned down."

"I am with young master" Hilsman*

"What, what do you mean?? Where else would you be besides your master? Isn't that what a knight loyal to his liege should do?? Are you stupid?" Hilsman

'since when is Cale Henituse my master?' hilsman*

Cale turned around to look at Vice Captain Hilsman.

"Where did they say the graves were?"

"What about the graves?" Asked both Litanas.

While both Cales replied with

"it got destroyed and everyone got killed" like it was just a weather they were talking about.

Cale glanced at Choi Han who was in deep thought and was fiddling with his fingers.

'he always does this when he is nervous' Cale

He saw the fire in Choi Han's eyes and quickly took his hand so that he wouldn't destroy anything. After all if he did, cale wouldn't be able to scam ahem... Take the money that god of death promised him.

Choi Han who partly knew what he was thinking held Cale's hand tighter. He knew that behind that cold facade that Cale was showing, he actually cared.

And holding onto cale made him feel safe and calm.

Choi han* was dumbfounded like any other in side B.

'didnt they hate each other?'

"You, why are you so close to him? That trash only knows how to talk bad about people, how come you two close after all he said about harris village?" Choo han*

Choi Han who knew what his other self was talking about just looked at him and then cale* who was looking at him with fear, even though he was aware of everything.

"My cale-nim didn't say anything bad, he is the person who saved me and gave me a new home. Of course, I am close to him. And- he looked at Cale*- I am sure cale* had his reasons why he said what he said, even though I may not know much, maybe you should try to analyze situation with calm mind and not beat up a kid"

Choi Han was still angry at himself that he beat cale*, even thought his cale-nim told him it was not his fault, he was still angry and thankful towards Rok Soo, because if not him than he would do the exact same thing and be brought down into despair

"I will go find out."

It had been a while since Cale had seen Vice Captain Hilsman being so calm, but it wasn't Hilsman's fault.

A large stone wall. Harris Village, The village located outside of that wall heading into the Forest of Darkness, was no more. All that was left was the crumbling ruins of houses and dark ashes that served as signs that something once existed in this location.

"I feel a strong sensation of fire here."

"You can feel something like that?"

"I am from a tribe of the sea after all."

Witira lightly smiled and responded, but then she seemed to get emotional. However, Cale did not have time to pay attention to her. He headed over to the Wolf children who did not seem to be able to get off the carriage.
