Broke your heart, I'll put it back together (3/3)

Lisa was stunned, Jisoo could see with the way her eyes were widened and mouth agape.

"So this is definitely months overdue. Maybe I should've looked for Jennie right after Chaeyoung took her things away, but it is what it is. I want to make things right. Help me, Lili."

"Finally," Lisa sighed, a smile slowly forming on her lips. "I know where she lives now. Will you promise me not to break her heart anymore, 'cause she's my girlfriend's best friend and I really can't have you breaking her heart again."

Jisoo grinned as Lisa told her Jennie's address.

To get Jennie back, Jisoo had a plan (courtesy of Miss Taylor Swift).

1. Stand there like a ghost shaking from the rain

2. Say "It's been a long three months and I was too afraid to tell you what I want"

3. Say "I want you for worse or for better. I would wait forever and ever. Broke your heart, I'll put it back together"

4. Remind her how it used to be

"Hi."

Jennie's eyes immediately widened once she saw Jisoo.

Jennie stared at the girl in front of her for a good minute. Jisoo had to hug herself tighter, her teeth chattering from the cold. "Are you going to let me in? Besides it being so cold, I don't want your neighbour to see me in these." Jisoo gestured towards the baby pink pajamas with tiny Pikachus she was wearing.

"You're—"

"Insane?" Jisoo grinned. Exactly like what the Taylor Swift song said. This was going as planned.

"No- well that too," Jennie said, looking at Jisoo in disbelief. "What I meant to say is that you're drenched."

"Yes," Jisoo agreed. "It's raining."

"Exactly! Why are you out in the rain?"

"Because- because I'm supposed to stand here like a ghost, shaking from the rain." Jisoo had a smile on her lips, hoping that Jennie would smile back at her because that would mean that Jennie didn't hate her.

So when Jennie laughed in disbelief and shook her head, ushering her inside, Jisoo breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Do you want some tea?" Jennie offered.

"No, thank you."

"Right, my bad," Jennie opened her fridge, taking something out. "What I meant to offer is milk coffee," Jennie placed the triangle-shaped bag of milk on the kitchen counter and sat across Jisoo. "I still can't believe you drink this."

"You hate this," Jisoo stated.

Jennie shrugged, her cheeks showing a hint of pink. "This has been a permanent thing on my grocery list. It's second nature. I guess."

Jisoo stayed silent. She didn't know what she was expecting, but she wasn't expecting this. Maybe she was expecting Jennie to hate her. For Jennie to slam the door in her face and never talk to Jisoo again.

With how their last meeting turned out, Jisoo was expecting Jennie to be more angry, or to be anything  other than to welcome Jisoo into her new apartment and give her Jisoo's favourite drink that she still bought even though they broke up months ago.

It wasn't making any sense to her.

"How are you so civil towards me?" Jisoo blurted out.

"I'm sorry?"
