Starluck: The Series | Season 1

1 | A Clear Problem

It was a sunny morning over Starluck and it was springtime which meant the annual gala at the palace was coming up soon. Rize was enjoying breakfast that morning, as usual, she opened the newspaper to read the headlines when suddenly mail fell through the door slot and she gasped. She ran to the door in a hurry and picked up and started looking through the letters.

"Hm, Bills, Bills, Bill, Credit Bill, Invitation WAIT-" gasped Rize.

She flipped back the invitation and screamed at the top of her lungs.

"OH MY GOD IT'S AN INVITATION TO THE GALA," she screamed.

She dropped everything else and ran to the phone quickly to dial her friend Michi. At Michi's Mansion, she was having breakfast also with a few guests. As the food was being served she heard the phone ringing from the hallway and walked out wondering who could be calling her. She picked up the phone and heard Rize on the other end of the line.

"WE NEED TO GO DRESS SHOPPING," screamed Rize.

A few days passed, Rize had gone dress shopping with Michi and it was now Saturday morning. It was a sunny morning and Rize was working at her shop which was the local village shop. She was finishing bagging a customer's groceries when her phone rang and she picked it up.

"Hello," said Rize.

"Rize, what time should I pick you up?" asked Adrian

"Hmmm, seven is fine," she said.

She hung up and smiled. She was so excited to go to the gala at the palace later this evening. Later that afternoon Rize was in her bedroom getting ready and putting on the beautiful dress she had bought earlier that week. She heard Adrian arrive and ran downstairs in his car Adrian was waiting and Rize got in. Rize looked around as she bucked when she saw a parcel in the backseat.

"What's that," asked Rize?

"I picked that up from the post office this morning, it's a gift sent from another kingdom to Blue," replied Adrian.

Rize grabbed the parcel from the backseat and Adrian gasped.

"Be careful," he gasped.

"Pfft it's ok," she replied annoyed.

Rize looked at the picture on the box and Adrian drove off to the palace. In the foyer, guests were arriving from all over the kingdom, and Adrian and Rize arrived. Adrian handed the box to a maid who took it upstairs and put it in another location. Adrian and Rize went to speak with their friends later that evening after dinner in the ballroom. Rize and Michi decided to go to the bathroom, Michi had sped to the bathroom leaving Rize behind. They had gone to the upstairs bathroom being special guests and friends of the princess, Blue.

Rize walked slowly when suddenly she heard a creak and screamed. She hit a table and the tall glass vase on it started wobbling and she screamed.

"NO, NO, NO," Rize screamed.

Rize gasped as the vase smashed on the floor into large pieces and the flowers and water made a mess on the floor. Rize gasped, she quickly grabbed the vase pieces and tried putting them back together. She then grabbed the roses off the floor and ran into Blue's bedroom behind her and went inside the private bathroom and threw the roses in the toilet and flushed them away. She went back out to the hallway.

"Oh my oh my I'm going to get in trouble," she worried.

Rize tried cleaning the marble floor with the red carpet and was panicking. Michi came out of the other bathroom and screamed when she saw the vase shattered on the floor.

"RIZE WHAT DID YOU DO?" screamed Michi

"SSHSHSH don't make noise I can fix it." gasped Rize

She dug through her handbag and took out some super glue and began pasting the large pieces back together. Michi watched and soon a few minutes later Rize revealed the finished product. Michi looked at it and noticed it wasn't the same but sighed there wasn't much that could be done.

"It's good enough, let's just make sure she doesn't go down to this bathroom," replied Michi in a worried tone.

Back in the ballroom, Blue was sitting when she got up and motioned to Ivory and Addie she wanted to go to the bathroom. Suddenly Rize ran back to the table and looked at Blue.

"NO YOU CAN'T GO TO THE BATHROOM!" screamed Rize

"I- why not?" asked Blue

"Because, because I said so," replied Rize.

"Rize I'm not sure what has gotten into you but I need to go to the bathroom," replied Blue.

She got up and Addie along with Ivory followed her to the bathroom. Rize chased after her and Michi followed.

"PLEASE NO YOU CAN'T GO!" screamed Rize

Michi tried stopping Rize and Blue continued walking. As she got closer Rize and Michi were screaming internally and then Rize actually started screaming. Blue shook her head thinking Rize had really gone mad. As her pitches got higher Blue covered her ears and Addie glared at Rize. Michi screamed at Rize to stop when suddenly a large crack was heard. Blue, Addie, Ivory, Michi, and Rize looked and the vase shattered. Everyone gasped except for Blue and she started laughing loudly everyone looked at her confused.

"Why are you laughing?" asked Ivory

"Because I can finally put the new vase," replied Blue.

She grabbed the box from under the table and took out a new vase. Rize gasped

"I-," gasped Rize.

"The vase you broke was a fake temporary one, I purchased it while on a state trip but Adrian picked up the real one that arrived today," explained Blue.

Rize's cheeks turned rosy red in embarrassment and then Blue looked down at the broken pieces of the old one and saw a large white line on the pieces.

"Why does this have super glue?" asked Blue in confusion

"So um I kind of broke it the first time my screams were the second time," replied Rize nervously.

Blue looked at Rize and then the shattered vase.

"Next time you break something please tell me someone could've gotten fired over this," said Blue.

"Yes Blue, I'm sorry," replied Rize.

After the gala, outside Adrian was waiting as Rize got in the car.

"I heard something happened earlier," laughed Adrian.

"It wasn't anything," replied Rize.

As they drove into the night Rize smiled she would sleep soundly tonight knowing the vase wasn't broken after all.
