【Part 6: Date】

Start from the beginning

He lowers his head. "I forgot my textbook, and homework so I ditched it."

"Oh I understand! Sometimes I do that too haha! To avoid permanent embarassment. Thank you for the bracelet, and chapstick by the way. I have both on me." I flash him my wrist.

He forms a small smile. "Nice to know my gift is in good hands."

"Of course!"

"So why are you here?" He looks in wonder.

"I just wasn't feeling well. I need fresh air."

He nods. "I understand. Heading home?"

I shake my head. "No not yet. I think going home won't help me. I need nature." I chuckle.

He looks off into the distance. "I get what you mean."

"So are you good in Korean?"

"I am alright." He smiles.

"Maybe you can tutor me. I am still a newbie." I giggle.

"Maybe." He looks blankly at his empty tray.

"Something on your mind?"

"Nope. I got to head off to my next class. Catch you later." He takes his tray, gets up, and leaves.

Sometimes I feel as if he is avoiding me. It makes me sad, but I knew it was normal since I keep lingering around him. Maybe he is just annoyed with me.

"He bought me this beaded bracelet. Isn't it so cute?!" Samantha waves her hand around that contains the newly pearl beaded bracelet.

Rachel rolls her eyes. "Turning that poor gay boy straight?"

"You bet I am! He should be lucky." Sam sticks her nose in the air like she was Miss Almighty.

"Good luck with that. You need to be one bad chick to turn him straight." I chuckle watching Sam blushing over a bracelet. "Does he seem interested in you?"

"Yes! I mean...today when this guy came up to compliment my hair, he got all quiet. I knew he was jealous. Oh Kevin..." She laces her fingers together, and holds her two hand fist up to her face like those anime girls. Anime girl in love.

"You go girl." Rachel pats Sam's back.

"We all need boyfriends. Too bad Miranda can't be here. She already got a boyfriend." Sam rolls her eyes.

"Who?!" I suddenly felt interested in their conversation.

"Some cute guy apparently. She won't tell me or give me hints. I guess she can't be in our singles group anymore."

"Sam...you are like her best friend." Rachel eases into Sam.

"Please. We are all her best friends. All she told me was it was some guy from church. Probably some good little boy haha!"

"Oh those goodie boys are just not my type." Rachel laughs.

"We can ask her later." I suggest.

"Maybe haha! Who cares. We still need boyfriends. I swear. There is this spring dance thing happening in the city. I really want to go." Samantha whines.

"Stop whining you brat." Rachel rolls her eyes.

"ALICE A FRIEND CAME TO VISIT!" My mom calls from downstairs. Who could it be?

I ran downstairs to answer the door. Upon approaching it, I saw Jesse. "Oh hi." I look down, and he chuckles.

"I bought you something for helping me out." He holds up a white plastic bag with something in it.
