Chapter Four

"Please. Please don't do anything to him. He's been nothing but amazing and he really needs this job!" I beg out of desperation. "I can't lose him..." my last part came out as a whisper

Dad sighed "do you honestly think I would have just gotten rid of him? Asahi is the best we have and you love him. It would only do harm to you and him. If you love him, go for it. I'll let you take him as your groom if that's what you'd like on your birthday." He smiled at me. My heart pounded fast. My groom. My husband. The love of my life. Asahi. Dad was ok with it. He would let me marry him. Asahi and I could be together. Forever.

My lips turn up into a smile. The happiest smile I've ever made. "Thank you. Thank you so much!" I cheer up. Dad handed me my diary back and told me I could leave the room. I exited the room and looked at Asahi. "Asahi! How about we have a picnic in the garden?" I ask

"That would be nice. Shall we get ready?" He asked. I nod and was going off back to my room. I enter and Asahi stands outside my door so I can change in private. After I'm done Asahi and I went to the kitchen where Kageyama and Hinata were being all lovey dovey. I wish I could be like that with Asahi. I'm going to confess. I have to. My birthday is coming in three weeks. I have to before it's too late.

"Oi! Hinata, Kageyama! We need to get food for our picnic!" I call to them. Kageyama rolled his eyes.

"Sorry about that..." Asahi said timidly to apologize for me "Kageyama, could you please help us make some food?" He asked so politely.

"Yes." Kageyama said with a still slightly annoyed face. He let us into the kitchen. "Shorty, sit over there" he pointed to the corner by the dishwasher. I do as told as he glared. He's so intimidating.

Instantly, him and Asahi start making the food. I was shocked. Asahi was making food and he was pretty skilled at it! He knows how to cook?! That's incredible! He hummed a song I showed him the other day as he made the food.

"Thanks for helping, I know you're not on hours for the job right now. I can pay you later." Asahi was kind. He's probably the nicest guy I've ever met.

"It's no problem." Kageyama mumbled

"Oh my, Noya! Are you seeing this?!?! Kageyama and Asahi get along!!!" Hinata looked at me excited. I was shocked too. This is a weird sight. Once they were done, Asahi handed Kageyama a 20 and off we went to the garden.

There was this big grassy hill at the top of the garden where we set up and started by sipping on out tea. "This is nice" Asahi smiled as he laid down on his back, looking up at the blue sky with a few clouds every here and there. "Very relaxing. I needed this." He let out a sigh he's probably been holding in for ages. I forgot that his job could be really stressful. He's always on full alert to make sure I'm safe and ok.

"Yeah, you deserve a break. Just relax and let your mind go blank. A few deep breaths and everything will be great." I instruct and he does so. I could see his stiff body relax. "I love spending time with you" I start

"Me too. Thanks for being my friend" he said. Friend. Friend. Friend. My heart dropped. I could feel it sink to my stomach. I know he didn't mean it in a mean way.

"Do you ever wonder about love?" I asked

"Yeah, sometimes. Sometimes I get really lonely and just think, 'I wish I had someone to love me' you know?" He said in a small voice. I nod

"Yeah, I've never been able to be in a proper relationship. Everyone just wanted me for the fame, they just wanted the money. They never wanted me." I sigh

"I'm sure someone out there loves you for you. I know I-" he stopped himself. "I want to see you happy..." he sounded kind of sad

"I do love someone though" I state
