"Let me know when you decide" Park said, "I can knock them out"

"stop talking like I am not here" Ming grumbled, "it is annoying"

"less annoying than you" Yo said with a smile, "it is comedy while yours is melo... I like comedy better"

"You too?" Ming pushed Yo as the three ended up laughing.

Phana stood there with tears clouding his vision, the proximity between Ming and Yo, their teasing, their laughter... Ming's pout. He could not hear their words – but from what he could see it was obvious!

Why would Ming say those words if he was still in relationship with Yo?

Why would he give him hope, only to have it crushed again and again?

What made Forth and Pete sound so confident, was he projecting his hope that they misinterpret when he tells their conversation?

Why is he such a damm fool?

He quickly wiped his tears, took a deep breath and walked away.

"I waited whole day yesterday for you to text or call me" Kit barged into his room the next day morning, "apparently Beam left to his internship yesterday, without even telling us anything – sudden change of plans" he continued to ramble on "and you go MIA... what the fuck is going on"

He stopped only when he finally looked at Phana's expression, he watched his silently as the other closed the door and stood rooted to the spot, his eyes red, face puffy and hair messy.

"Whoever it is" Kit walked closer, "is the biggest idiot in this entire world if he didn't realize what he is missing" he wrapped his arms around the taller's frame and hugged him. "Just give me the name and I will get someone to beat some sense into them"

"it is okay" Phana said in a gruffy tone, "shit happens and we move on. What were you saying about Beam?"

"No, don't divert topic" Kit pulled him to his bed and stood next to him as Phana sat on the edge, "at least let it out... don't pretend like you are okay when you are clearly not"

"What do you want me to say?" Phana broke at the simple gesture when Kit moved in closer and took his hands in his, "that it was all me, I projected so much and made myself believe that He is still in love with me, I am a coward who never once spoke out loud about my feeling for him, an idiot who didn't realize that I loved him when he tried to confess, I was that heartless person who never gave him a chance... I am a selfish bastard who wants him now that he is in a happy relationship... what do you want me to say Kit"

"I was so wrapped up in my head that I could see things were off between Beam and Forth, but I chose to ignore it, I was so lost in myself that I didn't even try and stop the fight between Forth and Lam" Phana said in a cold tone, on the contrary to the tears that ran freely like his words "just want do you want me to say"

Kit didn't reply but instead hugged the taller who remained rather stiff in his arms, "just what the fuck do you want me to say?". Kit brushed his fingers through taller hair "that you loved and lost but you still know that you have me"

"Kit" Phana pulled away, "I am sorry" Kit said softly "you might not have Beam, but you still have me"

Phana rubbed his face "You are right, I have loved and lost, but I will be able to move on... slowly but definitely"

"Whoever he is, he is a fool" Kit said softly, "I won't ask you for more... but know this, you can always talk to me"

"I will" Phana nodded, "I just need to get my bearing before I leave for my internship next week. I am just a bit lost now... and will be okay"

"Now, this whole drama I heard from Lam" Kit sighed, "apparently Forth didn't know about the table thingy... and Lam lost it when he offered you to sit there. He apologized for being rude to you... I think he texted you and when you didn't answer called me. Talk about crazy"

Phana chuckled, "our friends are as dumb as they come, aren't they?! So, is it all sorted?"

"Yes" Kit nodded, "looks like Beam and Forth were fighting about something, but Forth drove to Beam today morning to beg for forgiveness... and all is well"

Phana shook his head, "why do you put up with us?"

"Because, I need you to be here when I do some dumbshit like this" Kit smiled, "and in comparison I look like the sanest person and I like that image with Prae"

"I want to argue, but unfortunately I have to agree given the situation" Phana said, "you seem to be the most grounded amongst us three"

"I know right" Kit laughed, "can you believe it?! Now, go get ready – let us get some food in your system and drown our sorrows in assignments"
