A woman walks up to the steps of an orphanage, leaving a little girl. She seems to be between the ages of 5 and 6 years old. The woman gives the little girl an envelope, Before getting into a car and driving off. Leaving the poor girl with nothing but a blanket and the envelope.
Tom Pov:
I'm sitting on my bed on a cold, rainy, and uncanny day. Mrs. Elizabeth, one of the orphanage's caretakers comes in and says,
"Tom, this is Mia Starlight. She's just like you, and you have to care for her," she says as I try to see Mia but the dim light doesn't allow me to. As Mrs. Elizabeth quickly rushes to leave the room, I see Mia.
"Do you want to sit on the bed?" I ask. She quietly nods and walks toward me, and sits on the bed. As she does, I get to see her more clearly. Dark brown hair, dark caramel brown eyes that could hypnotize even the smartest person. As I continue to read my book I can see her eyes staring at it "Would you like me to read it?" I ask. She quietly nods and gets close to me, so she can see. An hour later she falls asleep on me. After a few minutes, I start to get tired. "Goodnight" I whisper into Mia's ear as I fall into a graceful yet dark-like slumber.
3rd Person Pov:
For the past 3 years, Tom and Mia are the closets that humans could possibly be. Nobody has ever seen them apart, except for bathroom trips. Even then, one will wait outside the door for the other. So, in other words, they were practically inseparable. Though not soon after they met, Mia started to develop her power which included time manipulation, reality-warping, teleportation, telepathy, telekinesis, and talking to animals. Mia struggled to control it at first, but Tom showed her the way. After all, he had powers of his own. He could talk to snakes and make animals do things he wanted. Tom could also make things move without touching them. In other words, they were sometimes the ideal mischief-makers of the orphanage.
Mia Pov:
As Tom and I are reading, Mrs. Elizabeth comes in with a mysterious old man.
"Tom, Mia you have a visitor," she says as she gives us the "behave" look. Wich I and Tom ignore, the so-called visitor, and we annoyingly place our books down. "Hello, Tom and Mia I am Dumbledore, Professor Dumbledore," he says. We look at Dumbledore with an uninteresting face. " Your one of those people who help crazy people," I say "In fact, you think me and Tom are crazy," I say while standing up as things start to float around me. Tom comes to me and whispers to me "calm down Princess... I know you're mad but I don't think this guy came all the way to tell us we're crazy. Right!?" Tom says while looking at Dumbledore. "Yes, your right Tom I never came all the way to do that, in fact, I want you to join Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry," he says while looking at me and Tom. "And why do you think we should join your school." Tom says "Well if I am right the both of you can do things other kids can't." "Yes," I say while looking at him. "Well, that is wh- " before he can finish Tom says " I can make animals do whatever I want them to, I can make objects move without touching them, I can talk to snakes..." Tom says then looks at me " I can manipulate time, I can make things seem real but it's fake, I have the ability to use telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, and I can talk to animals as well." I say with an emotionless face "Is that normal at your school?" Tom says while looking up to Dumbledore. "No, but that doesn't mean that Hogwarts can't help you," he says with a fascinating yet curious tone. "Tom, I think we should join, both of us can learn to control our powers more, and we get to be free of this place," I say. "Fine" Tom says with a very annoyed tone and a pissed face "Very well I will pick you up at 9 tomorrow morning is that good" Dumbledore says "sure," I say with a small yet faint smile.
