"Can't disrespect her if she's already dead."
"mommy issues."
"says the one who didn't have one."
(Y/n) let out a hiss, addressing that that one had hurt a little. She slowly sat up, looking at Ford who looked downright traumatized. "Ford... you okay bud? I'm sorry about my brother... he's..."
"Stra-ange? Crazy? a to-to-total wack j-job? In need of... of a... of a ma-ake-over?" Toby offered, grinning as he held all of the papers the two had grabbed from the basement. His shoulder jerked, making him drop them all. With a sigh, (Y/n) motioned to Jeff to help him out with her good arm. All the while Jeff scowled at the boy who just giggled. While the two boys were preoccupied, (Y/n) turned to Ford. He had finally gotten up himself. Still looking traumatized. That was a normal reaction to Jeff though.
Just as he looked over at her, the papers that had been thrown to the ground were trust into (y/n)'s face. She quickly grabbed them, making sure to give Jeff a glare for the rudeness. She made a mental note to buy him a drink as a thank-you later though. He DID come all this way to try and help after all. For the moment, Jeff flippered her off before going back to make sure Toby was in one piece. The girl took her time getting up, careful of the knife in her arm. It hurt like hell and she knew she should take it out, but that would make quite a mess. Also pulling a knife out on your own when you know it's gonna hurt is a sheer test of will.
Either way, the knife stayed where it was as she went to Ford's side, helping him up / dragging him to his feet. "There we go.... now..." The papers were moved from her bad arm to her good one as she spoke, almost contemplating if he deserved to have them back or not. "We... can't let you keep these... you know that, right?"
"What? What do you mean?! Tho-"
"you already know too much. Ford, this is normally the part where we just slaughter everyone." The girl's voice had an edge to it. Panic and annoyance was a strange sound for her, but it was there. The papers were moved back to her bad arm as she used her good one to rub the back of her neck. Her eyes stuck to the surroundings, avoiding the gaze of the others in the room. (Y/n) wondered how closely she looked to a sad little puppy. Her mind started to go fuzzy. Was she that panicked by the whole thing? "Look, you guys are not bad people. I don't want to hurt any of you..."
"That's priceless research! You can't just take it." Ford tried to argue. (Y/n) had to applaud the grit he had, though. no matter how aggravating it kinda was. The (brunette, blonde, ginger, etc) gently shook her head, not letting him continue his argument. A soft buzz started to form in the back of her mind like a little fly was back there. the sensation made her heart quicken.
"Please, just cooperate." (Y/n) begged. "We're gonna take these, you play dumb from now on. Everyone forgets that we were here, and everyone... everyone..." (Y/n) felt her head slowly start to bob as she struggled with her words. The buzzing that she had pushed back was more apparent now and refused to be ignored now. (Y/n) looked back up at Ford, slowly starting to see 3 of him. The dizziness extended for just a moment, only subsiding when Ford let out a pained groan. His large, extra-fingered hands grabbed at his head.
From behind her (Y/n) heard Stan blurt out, "What the hot Belgian waffles is that?!"
"It seems to be a rift in some dimensional barriers. I used to get headaches like this when hiding from monsters in the nightmare realm." Ford responded just as Mabel let out a groan and responded with a mumbled comment of being reminded of her time on smile dip. Why the fuck was that kid ever given smile dip? That's what she used to keep Laughing Jack off her ass.
