Nervous

"Ms. Clara, I'm reminding you about your schedule for today---"

"Oh shoot! Yeah, I almost forgot!" I exclaimed as I ran upstairs to take a brisk shower. I was too immersed in swimming when Layla, my assistant, reminded me that I have a meeting at lunch. I am meeting an interior designer for another branch of my shop and I forgot that she requested it to be moved instead of going with the original schedule because he has to abruptly schedule her flight on that day.

I decided to take a dip because I dreamt about those visions I had again and I woke up feeling drained and dizzy. I didn't call Van because he's probably sleeping when I woke up. He's in Dubai now for a business trip and I don't know how long will he stay there that's why I'm hanging with Layla around the house.

Kakamadali ko, I just wore a cream white two-piece bodycon dress with a deep v-neck top. I matched it with pearl accessories and a pair of white stilletos. Nilugay ko na lang ang buhok ko dahil wala na akong time to do my hair.

I arrived at the restaurant earlier kaya umupo na lang ako sa pina-reserve kong seat. I busied myself gawking at the exquisite design of the restaurant when the interior designer entered. Agad naman niyang nahanap ang table namin.

"Ms. Clara Lozano?" she confirmed nang makalapit sa banda ko. Pagtayo ko ay nahagilap ko ang mga kasunod lang niya sa entrance na apat na lalaki, pinakahuli doon ang lalaking iniiwasan kong makita simula nang nangyari sa exhibit. He's unbuttoning his suit with just his right hand when I saw him. Agad ko namang iniwas ang tingin ko sa kanya nang naramdaman ata niyang may nakatitig sa kanya.

I don't know what's with the air today or it's just my unlucky day dahil sa katabing table lang namin sila naka-upo. I ignored his presence and continued with my meeting with Ms. Takahashi instead kahit na nararamdaman kong tumitingin siya minsan sa banda namin... o assuming lang ako?

"I want your opinion about this if the overall look suits your taste, Ms. Lozano." She said while showing me her designs in her iPad.

"I don't even know if I have to choose among these designs. These are all good!" I said a matter of fact. She just laughed on my comment while I am having a hard time choosing here.

As I go through her designs, I overhear what are the men from another table are talking into.

"I bet Clayton wanted it so badly that he has to abandon us instead of hosting it. Hindi ka na naawa kay Nico who took your place, may mall tour pa to kinabukasan!" sabay halakhak ng isang kasama nila.

"Yeah, reason why I was accused of being high that time. Imagine, wala akong tulog non. I went there to do my job but all I got is my manager getting so mad at me, squeezing every information para lang mapaamin ako. Now that I think about it, I find it funnier because I didn't have any idea yet that that agency is doing me dirty and they found a perfect candidate for an escape goat."

"All thanks to me cuz you got fired, huh?" sabay halakhak naman nung isa.
