-Camilo's pov-
I can't look at her.
I can't look at that vision again.
Death?
Nope.
Not for me.
-Amira's pov-
The vision leaves a cut on my leg as I drop it out of shock. The vision that showed me...
...kneeling over my hermana's lifeless body.
Blood pours out of my gash, but it's not as much of the scarlet red liquid flowing out of Peggy's chest. The core of it seemed to be right where her heart was.
I couldn't unsee that image, I would never be able to unsee it.
The agony of seeing her like that overwhelmed me.
Subconsciously, I take a piece of food being offered to me. What I can only assume is for my recent wound.
That wasn't what wounded me the most.
Denial.
She couldn't die.
I would stop it, I can do that, right?
Yeah, yeah, I can stop it.
I don't know how, or why she'll die.
But in the moment, I'll know, I will.
I have to.
-Camilo's pov-
Two girls, same room. One's crying, but no sound leaves her mouth. Just the flow of tears. The other simply, out of it.
I don't blame them, this news is overwhelming, especially for a fourteen year old girl. I couldn't imagine if I found out Dolores our Antonio would... you know.
(Flashback to earlier)
"OoO! I have an idea! We coul-"
"Can I get a vision? I heard that's something one of the Madrigals does..." the girl who I'd hoped what be my future sister-in-law rubs her arm nervously. Honestly, it looked like it took her a bit of courage just to ask that.
"Of course, my Tío is in his room right now I think, you could go see him." I shrug, keeping a content grin on my face.
"Can you... can you come with me? For the vision?" Her shy voice barely reaches my ears, but it's enough to understand her request.
"Mhm." I swoop my arm through hers and escort her up to my Tío's infamous tower. I don't bother knocking, simply letting myself in. I never usually knock in my own home, simply not respecting the privacy of my cousins or siblings.
Luckily enough, Bruno is sitting cross-legged on the floor, with his little rats. Personally, they gave me the creeps. Disgusting, is how I would describe them.
He notices us, eyes broadening nervously. "Hi, you two, heh..." He still hasn't learnt how to strike up conversation, despite me trying to teach him the ways of an extrovert.
"Hey Tío, mind if we get a vision?" Not bothering to introduce them, they've met before, when Amira's family came for dinner one night.
"Yeah, sure." With a shrug, he leads us to his vision cave. Nobody liked the staircase situation, so we installed a platform to pull us up using a pulley.
We sit ourselves in the centre of the room, and collectively hold hands.
"Alright, hold on."
Bruno's eyes gleam brightly, a neon green colour illuminating the room while the sand picks up. My hair is blown over my face as the wind circles.
I raise an eyebrow, watching the scene play out ahead of us. A figure, they hold, a gun?
They're pointing it at someone, it's not clear who they are.
Quickly the scene flashes to, a fresh corpse, of a girl.
Familiar curly hair spreads over someone's lap.
Amira, clinging to the dead body of her young sister.
(End of flashback)
I wince, Amira wasn't communicating it directly to me but I knew exactly what was going on in her head.
And I knew there was no way to avoid it.
Neither I or my girlfriend tried to stop Peggy from sprinting out of the room, probably out of casita as well. Having a decent idea of where she'd go, I plop myself down next to Amira.
'It's okay princesa, I'm sure we've got time.' My hand gently caresses over her back, attempting to console the poor girl.
"Y-yeah, alright..." Her words are shaky, gasps cut between syllables from crying. "She'll b-be, be alright." Following with a nod, more of an affirmation directed towards herself as reassurance.
-Narrator's pov-
Confusion swept over her as Camilo stood up, moving to stand directly opposite her. The boy takes her hands in his, holding them tight in his.
"I promise, I will never let harm come your sister's way. I swear on my life, I will put her before myself if it comes down to it."
Through the deep, cavernous pit that was Amira's emotions, a tiny spark of hope flared.
She had full faith in the boy she loved, she trusted him without doubt.
"I won't let you down princesa."

Here you go:
God, from the day we locked eyes I knew she was the one. I could tell, I'm not entirely sure how, but I could. Maybe it was the way her face lights up when I enter the room, and then she'll jump into my arms. Or when we dance, she's so elegant when she twirls. Those glistening, dark eyes, I swear I fall under a trance. My mates always have to snap me out of it, telling me I'm staring. I get super flustered when she laughs it off, god I love her laugh.
I'm totally obsessed with everything about Soph, I'm in love.
