I slowly open my eyes. I look over to my wife to see tears building up in her eyes, but a huge smile on her face.
She's not looking back at me.
I look at where her eyes are settled.
And there she was.
"It's a girl!" The doctor says-- wrapping our baby in a blanket.
My baby girl. Our daughter.
The doctor walks over to Y/n and hands our baby in her hands.
"Oh my god" she says between sobs. Happy sobs.
Our baby. She's beautiful.
"She's beautiful Sebastian, look at her" She cries out.
I didn't even notice my tears are running down my face. My face is covered in tears.
"She's more than beautiful Y/n." I smile. Leaning down as I kiss my wife. I don't say it, but I thank her for giving me our daughter. For giving her life. And I know Y/n understood what I said.
"I love you."
She's got Y/n's eyes and the color of my hair. Hazel brown eyes. Just like her mother.
"What's her name?" the doctor asks.
"Augustine Miere Robinson-Stan" I respond, looking over at my daughter as she smiles. Her first smile.
"August for short." Y/n chuckles as she kissed our daughters head.
I love you already, August.
Yup. We have a daughter.
I have two angels. I love them both, and I never knew I could even love this big. My heart is so full.
"Seb?" Y/n rubs my shoulders. "You okay?"
"I'm great" I stand up from the couch and give her a kiss.
"Dad!" August runs to me with a doll in her hand.
"Miere!" I pick her up in my arms. "What's wrong love?", Y/n rubs her back.
She doesn't say anything, she drops her head to my shoulders as I lull her. Just when I thought I couldn't love her more. She always seeks comfort in both me and her mother. And I love when she does it. I appreciate every moment. I also don't like thinking about her growing up, I still want her this little. A one year old baby.
She learned how to walk at her ninth month, which is unbelievable because who learns that early? Oh well... my daughter's smart. She got it from her momma.
I look at Y/n, her eyes matching August's hazel ones.
"I love you" She tells me before she kisses me slowly, making me stop lulling August.
As she pulls away, "I love you, too." I smile at her.
I don't think I've ever thanked her enough for giving me such a beautiful and the best daughter I could ever have. We created a soul that shares both of us. And I couldn't be any luckier.
'Fade Into You' by Mazzy Star plays softly on the background.
"Down" August says telling me to put her down. And I do. Another one August got from her mother besides the eyes, is the attitude.
I laugh. Y/n walking towards me.
I put my hand out for her to take, "May I have this dance?" I bow.
"You may." She takes my hand as I move my hand to her waist her her arms wrapped around my neck.
This is the life. The life I've dreamed of. Slow dancing in the middle of the living room, the dim yellow lights with our daughter dancing besides with her stuffed animal.
Y/n rests the side of her head on my chest as she looks down at our daughter. Smiling.
"I love you, My Augustine." She says.
"I love you, my mommy." August responds as I chuckle.
"Hey! What about me?" I joke.
"I love you, My dad!"
"I love you, My Sebastian."
They say at the same time.
The song ends and Y/n gives me another kiss before going back to the kitchen to cook.
Me, My Wife, and August.
My Family.
Authors Note
This is the last final chapter! Can you guess which line I used from 'Illicit Affairs' by Taylor Swift I used in this chapter? teehee! Comment it! Also I did use 'August'/'Augustine' as their daughter's name because of Taylor as well. Augustine in Taylor's songs is such a beautiful woman, and she's just my favorite character in Folklore.
I love you guys! I hop this Epilogue is good enough for you!
