Chapter 3

Chapter 3

     I looked down at Spencer holding a toothbrush and toothpaste.  I grabbed them both from his hands and squirted some thick blue and white paste onto his baby blue toothbrush.  He ripped it from my hands a stuck it into his mouth before spitting all of it into the sink.  He looked up at me with his mouth wide open and a face that told me that he tasted it.

     I grabbed a wash cloth and soaked it in water.  The cold wash cloth dripped off my hand while I scraped all the nasty paste out of his mouth. To think I'll have to deal with something like this by myself. I stopped at the sound of that thought.  Spencer looked up at me and smiled and walked to his room.  What have I done?  I need John.  But he cheated on me so many times!  The thoughts stopped when Makenzie walked in and new ones started.  I have Makenzie.

"You ok?" She said still half asleep.

"Yea I'm fine,  just morning sickness."

"That must suck!  I hope it go's away."

"It will, I think."  Makenzie could tell there was something wrong with me.  She would look at me with worry but would shake it off.

-Month 1-

    My mom has started to know notice a bit of a bigger belly but it was still not that big.  She would ask me about it but I would just say that I'm probably just gaining some weight.  I really shouldn't be hiding it from her but I seem to be for some reason.  Now it's my turn to be the woman and tell her the truth.

     As I walk down the stairs very slowly I plan how I will say it and how she will respond.  But thoughts slowly crept in my mind, but I chose to ignore them.

"Hey mom can I tell you something, and do you promise not to be mad?"  I regretted it after I already said it.

"Yea sure honey what is it?"

"Ok um.... where do I start.  Ok while I was at my sweet sixteen party me and John went into a closet like room and um.. kinda of... you know... did it." My mom looked at me confused.

"Sweet heart that's fine with me you two have been dating for almost three years now."

"I know you wouldn't mind but um... mom... I'm pregnant."  When my mom heard the last word it felt like the world had stopped.  My mom cut through the silence.

"Are you sure?"

"yep I toke the tests and everything and its been a month since then"  She just sat there, the only thing that was moving was her chest when ever she would breath in and out.

"Oh and John cheated on my the day after that."

"You know what I will help you with the baby Brooke."  She smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek and left.  Im so happy she will help me and support me,  and with Makenzie there to I will have so much help.

     I crawled into bed waiting for Monday to come and the whole school to make fun of me for gaining more than a little weight.  My baby bump was showing a little more each day.   I woke up ready for the day to just be over with now.  After getting ready I hopped in my car and drove to school meeting Makenzie outside.

"Hey did you know were getting a new student!" 

"Um... there's only two months of school left why would a new person come?" 

"I don't know, but I heard it was a guy! He could be you baby daddy."  She said winking at me.

"What guy would want a girl that's pregnant?  He would think I'm a slut."

"Whatever girl!"  She looked over at the school.  The bell finally rung.  I walked inside only two feet in the building before being pushed over.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to.  I'm new here and was looking for room 216."  His voice was like silk when they came out of his mouth.

"Its ok, my name is Brooke. Whats yours?" He held his hand out to me pulling me up.  For the first time in a long time I was feeling sick.  Oh my gosh really right here right now.  I held it back so he could answer.

"I'm Alex."  He pulled his black hair behind his ears and looked straight into my eyes with his kind and gentle blue eyes.  I interrupted our stares by running to the bathroom not caring if it was the girls or not a threw up what felt like my stomach.  I heard foot steps running into my stall I was in.

"Are you ok?"  Alex's voice was full of worry.

"Yea it's just morning sickness." He looked at me confused why I would be having morning sickness.  He stared at me and then my stomach.

"So wait your pregnant?"

"Yea but the father cheated on me with five other girls so it's just me, my baby. and my best friend."  He looked at me for a second and helped me up.

"Why did you go into the mens restroom?"

"Oh I didn't know this was the mens,  I guess I didn't want to make a fool of myself puking in the hallway so I went to the closest bathroom."  After the first five periods of school, me and Alex found out that we have all our classes together and kind of became friends.

    I learned so much about him, his favorite color is green, he plays guttier,  he likes rap, hip hop, and some country music,  he loves animals and baby's, and would want to be a vet or a singer when he's out of school.  Alex and Makenzie also became friends. I don't know for sure but I think I like him.
