It was like I was 5 all over again
Running through the field picking flowers from the ground
My mother chasing me and my father watching
As I got older I felt more and more like the flower
At first young and full of life
Until my family was taken away
To which I was plucked from the ground
Put in a vase and sat by the window
I lasted about a week
Then reality began to settle in
And just like that I started to wilt
Time went by and I loose my once vibrant color
Petals begin to fall
And eventually I dissolve to nothing
