An alarm went off somewhere in Amethysts room.

"Nope. It's to early." Amethyst said, hitting the snooze button.

A moment later a voice called from her doorway. Light shone into the room as the hallway lights went on.

"You know. Me and your father once had to get up at 2am to go fight a kaiju." The voice called.

"I know uncle Raleigh. I've heard this story 100 times already." Amethyst groaned, putting her head under her pillow. The light then no longer shining in her eyes.

"Well if your ever gonna become a jaeger pilot you need to get up when your told to. And you also have to graduate high school. Which you can't do if your sleeping at home instead of studying in school." Raleigh said, watching the curled up lump on Amethysts bed slowly unfurl.

"Fine." Amethyst said, crawling out from her bed and standing up.

"What time is it anyways?" Amethyst asked after a moment, looking up at her uncle.

"2." He said chuckling.

"Am?!" Amethyst said.

"Yup." Raleigh said, watching Amethyst roll her eyes.

"You've got to be kidding me." She said, flopping back down onto her bed and groaning.

"You know. The practition center opens in an hour. If you hurry up, I can take you there before I head off to work." Raleigh said, smiling.

"Alright." Amethyst said, getting up and grabbing some clothes out of her cream colored dresser.

"Times ticking." Raleigh said before walking out of her room and back down the hallway towards the kitchen.

Amethyst grabbed a bright green T-shirt, her deep blue sweatshirt, some black pants, and a few other things before walking out of her towards the bathroom.

She stepped into the bathroom, threw her clothes down, closed the door, and looked into the mirror.

Amethyst examined her features. Bright blue eyes, bright shining white teeth, dirty dish water blonde hair, a light shade of olive colored skin.

She sighed and looked down at the sink in front of her. She never got to meet her father. Raleigh always said that she looked just like him. Sure she did.

Amethyst stepped into the shower and let the hot water burn her back as she washed her hair. Hissing in pain from the water she stepped out of the shower after she had finished showering.

She turned on some music from the echo in the bathroom. She let her favorite songs play as she brushed her hair and her teeth. She changed into her clothes.

Sighing, she stepped out if the bathroom and into the laundry room, throwing her dirty clothes in the washer before starting it.

Afterwards she walked to the kitchen and grabbed a bagel from the fridge and popped it into the toaster. As she waited for it she went back to her room and grabbed her backpack for school.

Amethyst stuffed all the things she would need into her backpack and slung it over her shoulder. She unplugged her phone from her bedside and put it in her pants pocket, feeling it vibrate from her unread messages notification.

She walked back out of the room and into the kitchen and set her bag down. She headed back over to the toaster and pulled the fresh bagel out of the toaster and set it on a napkin.

She turned to the fridge and opened it. She grabbed some blueberry cream cheese spread from if the shelf and closed the fridge. She turned around and opened a drawer.

From inside the drawer she picked up a butter knife and returned to the bagel on the counter. She opened up the cream cheese container and spread it's contents on the bagel before closing the container again.

Amethyst then took the dirty knife over to the sink and dropped it inside. She grabbed the spread and put it back into the fridge. She grabbed the bagel and popped it in her mouth, holding it by her teeth, and picked her backpack up.

She then started eating the bagel. When she had finished she called out to Raleigh, somewhere in the house.

"Uncle Raleigh I'm all ready to go!" She called.

"I'll be out there in a minute!" His voice called back from the bathroom.

"Okay." She replied and sat down at the table waiting for him.

After a few minutes the bathroom door opened and the light inside turned off. Raleigh came out of the bathroom, grabbed his work bag off the floor, and turned to the front door.

"Come on Amethyst. Let's go." He said.
