Chapter 11~Silya~

Start from the beginning

"You look nice and summery," I said to ease the tension that I had felt from Jaylin and I a few moments ago.

"Yeah, it has been quite nice out lately, young lady. Madeline was saying the same thing when it was her turn to drive. She insisted that I go and check up on the two of you." He said nonchalantly.

There had a pleasant air that I had always liked about him. He was very caring to all of us. He was reserved, but there were times where all of us could see that he knew how to have a good time. He was the man who did things very diligently and smoothly as if he knew how to go about situation in the right way every time. He looked to be in his late forties. Gray hairs receded from his scalp and he had a small ball spot in the middle of it. His face was a little wrinkly. He had a broad chin line. He had dark brown eyes that always. He was lean and veins popped out of his hand a little. I could tell the way he spoke, he had been serving the Hennery Family for a long time, maybe even longer than Madeline had.

"The Young Master has been doing great with all these new things that have happened recently. It seems like he is a new person since he you. He's always been quiet and I never knew he could actually smile like he has been. I know that this embarrassing for you to hear this and I do apologize, but it was really all thanks to you, Miss. Emerson." He was being sincere with me. He was like the father I had wished would come back to my mom and me.

"It was nothing really at all," I said smiling a little to him. "Jaylin is really a pleasant person to be around and he is always thinking about others. I'm sure that he will be a great heir just like his father is now. If it counts, I'm the one who is grateful to all of you who let me have such a fun time these last few days. I am really going to miss being here with all you guys a month from now." I finished last bite of my sandwich.

Garrett padded me on the shoulder in an assuring way. "Then don't leave and continue to be the Young Master's friend."

"I can't, I made a deal with his father and I can't go back on that. It would be breaking the deal that we had agreed upon.

"Sometimes, we need to break them, otherwise we won't get want we truly want. Miss. Emerson, I believe that I haven't told you the story of Madeline and I. Truthfully, I am in love with her and have been for a very long time ever since the two of us were children. We were friends, neighbors in fact. There were many days I had long to see her, after I realized how many times she had brightened up my day.

I had been raised in a loving home what was wealthy, so there wasn't much that I had wished for. I was fairly smart and good-looking in my high school days. I was also a track star and my siblings were famous because they were either models for magazines or had a good paying jobs. Most of all, they always kept a close and loving eye on me. I was quite the trouble maker too," he chuckled a little. "You wouldn't believe how much you and Madeline are alike. That's why I believe that Jaylin is lucky to have as great of a friend as you are. What I am trying to say is that Friends are something worth treasuring because one day you might come to realize that they were the right one for you after all and you might have been blinded for a very long time to realize it.

The Young Master has always been a reserved kind of person and quite lonely. His mother left him at a young age and ever since his accident from when he was a toddler, his father has made sure that he had been removed from any harm. Although I don't agree with his method of parenting, I do see that he does want what is best for his son. His sister knows a little bit about her brother, bust she is very limited on her knowledge as mist people are in the mansion. I know that the Young Master enjoys having you around him. I am also very aware with the deal between you and the Headmaster, but keep in life that this is your life and you need to also do what you want to do. The Headmaster just wants to see his son have a good time. I believe that due to his past, the Headmaster has not been able to experience fatherhood the way he wants to, so in a way, sending his son on a trip like this helps him try to deal with his guilt for not being there for the Young Master.

I've had my hard times, too. Madeline had a father who didn't pay for his taxes and that ended up leaving her homeless after her father had decided to run off. I picked up Madeline and convinced my family to let her stay with us and ever since then, we were both able to be hired to work for the Hennery family since the Young Master had turned six. It has been a blessing to be able to work for such a prestigious family. The headmaster inherited the wealth he has now from his grandpa.

I just wanted to tell you that, even if you're not used to this kind of family setting, you can always drop by to see all of us, even after your deal is over with the Headmaster because Madeline and I have both grown very fond of you, young lady."

He got up, leaving me unable to say anything back to him. He had seen through my act and maybe Madeline had too. If I wasn't causing them trouble, I was very happy. If only I had the gut to tell Jaylin's father all that I had thought about, maybe I wouldn't have o feel so broken up about everything lately.

If I had to let all of this go to return to my normal life in order to make Jaylin happy, then I would go without another word.

Jaylin had hung up the phone after a half hour. He looked very solemn. He had to realize the truth by now. After all, he had to realize the truth some time, no matter how much time had passed of us being " friends" it wouldn't have changed the fact that I had been the one all this time deceiving him.

We were only an hour away from being home, but it seemed like a century. With every second ticking by, it became closer to the moment when I would have to meet that girl from the photo. I would not be the one by his side any longer after this month had past.
