Diluc feels weird.
Don't get him wrong, he's happy that you got the charcter that you were wishing for. The smile and happiness you had on your face when you saw that gacha art is something he would compare to the brightest stars.
He is happy.
You probably didn't want him anyway, and he'd hate to disappoint you. (then why does it aches)
Hope, longing, anticipation
Sometimes burns.
Was it the way that your face feel momentarily, that tiny sigh, hushed whisper that sounded like his name? But it vanishes as soon as it appears and you are gushing over them. Diluc knows better than to cling on to drifting illusions.
He knows that he will never have his previous status. Dethroned. How much longer till someone eles shows up and does exactly what he does but better? How long till he loses relavence? When even you would stop looking towards him?

The day isn't too far, but against everything he still hopes. Whenever fate does decides to put you together, that you would smile.
Brighter than a thousands suns, the same one he envies, the same one he adores.
But this time towards him.
