Rendezvous I

Nathan couldn't help being curious about Corrine, so he decided to go through her bio. In the picture he was looking she was wearing a long peach sleeveless dress with a slit up to her laps but the way she moved was so composed and poised that he didn't see her skin revealed from the slit, she wore a blue stiletto heels.

Her hair was in along wavy style and it was blonde, hmm.....her hands were clasped together confidently as she spoke but in another picture her right hand was on her left arm.
From her posture and expression Nathan knew she was either getting cold or she wasn't comfortable in sleeveless clothes.

" But she looked really beautiful" Nathan thought.
And so the comparison continued " she's more beautiful than Ashley, she has hazel eyes while Ashley's are blue. She has a flat tummy while Ashley's are....." He suddenly froze and rubbed his face harshly " why I'm I even comparing them?"

He stood up to dressed for dinner, he had a dinner appointment with Corrine Knight, that was why he had to know her better. He convinced himself as he shut the laptop.
They were supposed to fine at La Cuisine a high end restaurant he booked for their first "date".

He got there before the scheduled time, he was dresses in a lemon shirt and suit trousers, he decided to forgo the jacket. Just when it clocked 7 he saw her walk into the room. " Atta girl" he thought with a smile, he had a huge thing for punctuality and that was why he was there ahead of time. To know if they at least shared that virtue.
And he was glad.

She was wearing a purple flowery short gown ( a picture of it is included in this chapter) a peach colored bag and heels
Nathan cursed under his breath when he saw her fastened I to a tight bun.....it made her look too official.
Then it occurred to him that she might not all be pleased with the alliance.

He stood upas she reached the table " Mr Burrows"
He pulled out a chair for her and replied "   Miss Knight " she sat with a business like smile " thank you".
Nathan settled down elegantly, she perceived his body spray and was surprised a low key person like him would go for " lush perfume" it was worth a million dollars.

" Let's not be too formal with each other Miss Corrine, this isn't our first meeting and certainly not the last "
Corrine raised a brow surprised by how quick he blended with his words.
She gave a smile " of course ...Mr Nathan"
Nathan smile became more natural, happy that she wasn't that reluctant to accept the sudden change.

" I didn't know you remembered our little encounter at Las Vegas last month, actually I just recalled when you talked about this not being our first meeting.......I should say I'm flattered." She concluded
" Flattered that I remembered such a beautiful lady? It was my pleasure, you made such a wonderful speech......it's hard too forget women who've got the beauty and the brain" he concluded " doofus! why are you praising her so much, this is so not like you Nathaniel" he scolded himself internally.

Corrine blinked in surprise, she certainly does not believe he thought so highly of her" Why, thank you for the compliment" she replied but didn't seem it necessary to flatter him back.
" It's my pleasure.......... uhm you're ready for dinner?" She nodded in reply
Since it was a private room he pressed the bell and the attendants came in

After placing their orders, they talked about  business for 3 minutes before the food was served.
They ate in silence while secretly spying each other " he really knows how to handle his steaks" Corrine thought
" Should I cut the steak for her, that's a gentleman's act right?" Nathan asked himself.

At the end he decided not too be too forward.
After they were done with the meal. Nathan broke the silence " would you mind signing the contract now? " It'd be my pleasure " she replied consentually
" At last" at last she thought.
They agreed to have the EVANS write the contract.
So it was Corrine who did it, she passed it to him. And watched him intensely.
