Jazz pov

I got up going to see if A'mari is ready for school

I got it. Last night kentrell got mad cuz one of his baby momma went live saying that he's a dead beat father. Hopefuly he didn't take his anger out on A'mari. I went in A'mari room seeing her dressed and laying on her bed. I went fully in going to her bed. The side of her face is swollen.

Me. A'mari

She flinched looking over at me. I sat next to her putting foundation on her neck. I don't know how I'ma hide the fact that her face is swollen. Her lip is busted to. I used a lot of foundation to hide the bruise. But you can clearly see that it's swollen

Me. Do you have a face mask

She  nodded not looking up. I went in her closet. She got different colored mask. I got one putting it on her face and her her put the fake glasses on to.

Me. Come on

She got her book bag getting up. She walking slow. I got her hand and she flinched and she's shaking. We went upstairs seating down at the table she jumped back up as soon as she sat down

Me. What's wrong?

She shook her head not looking up.

Me. You hungry?

She shook her head

Me. You sure?

She nodded. I made her lunch seating it on the table.

A'mari pov

Kentrell. Let's go

I put my bookbag back on. I got my lunchbox following him outside. We got in the car. It hurts really bad seating down. A tear rolled down my face. When we got to my school I got out closing the door walking In there.

K'mari and harmony. Hey A'mari

I waved we walked to class. I got a warm up then I sat down.

Jr. What's wrong

I shook my head looking at him

Jr. You don't have to lie to me

Tears rolled out my eyes. He held my hand.

Me. I wanna go home

I got a pencil and started on my warm-up. I looked up seeing the teacher looking at me. I laid my head down. I can't stop the tears from rolling down my face. After I finished the last questions on my warm up jr got my hand again whispering in my ear.

Jr. Did he choke you again?

I didn't answer I just looked down. The teacher picked up the warm up and started on the lesson.

After school

I got in kentrell car. I didn't have cheer practice today. I stared out the window. He started driving. Out the corner of my eye I saw him reaching over here I flinched turning to face him. He glanced over

Kentrell. Say Why you got that face mask on?

I took it off looking back out the window taking the glasses off to. When we got to the house I went straight to my room taking a shower and putting my night cloths on. Then I laid on the bed staring up at the ceiling.

Kentrell. Aye?

I flinched looking over at the door. My hands started shaking

Kentrell. You hungry?

I shook my head turning over balling up under the cover. My face, neck and legs still hurt. And to top that off I'm thirsty. I got up jumping out of my skin when I saw kentrell standing by my bed. I got off the bed going in the bathroom closing and locking the door. I turned the water on drinking the water. Then I came out the bathroom laying back down. I looked around not seeing kentrell. I got up and looked out the window. I wanna be free.

Kentrell. Say What the fuck are you doing!

I jumped looking back shaking really bad. He started walking towards me and I started backing up.

Me. I'm sorry, please don't hurt me

I back into the wall and balled up.

Kentrell. I wasn't finna hit you

I wiped my tears looking up. He looked at my face before leaving. I got in my bed balling up going to sleep.

20 min later

Jazz pov

Kentrell sat theses creams and medicine for bruises on the nightstand

Me. What's this for?

Kentrell. Go put that on A'mari

I got up taking the bag going in A'mari room. I slowly took the cover off her. I slowly turned her body this way and I got the ointment and rubbed it on her neck she flinched in her sleep. Then I got the vasaline rubbing it on the big bruise on her face. Her eyes shot open

Me. Sorry

Tears rolled down her face

Me. Do you have more scars?

I pulled the cover off her fully seeing red weeps all over her legs. I put vasaline on them. I looked at her face seeing that she was half sleep.

A'mari. I wanna go home

She turned over putting the cover over her body. I feel bad for her. I stayed seating here intill I heard her snoring. I left out going to lay in my bed. I watched tv thinking about what A'mari said.
