My journey was long and tiring I met many, along the way Some, I learnt from Others, I could have happily kicked On their furry butts
There are those, who made a difference I am grateful indeed There are those, who made me spit fire There are those, who pierced with knives Then there are those, I care for
All this, has shaped me I learnt alot, along the way Like who to trust And who, to avoid Yeah, I truly learnt
I made mistakes Some known Some unknown But people judge And I am, their favourite source, of entertainment
Does it bother me? Nope! I made errors in judgement I may have cried I may have slowly died
I learnt from my past It slowly, shaped me It slowly, changed me Hard and little bitter That's me
But today, I woke up I will no longer be judged I will no longer regret I will no longer hide This, is who I am
The pain The hurt The struggles The suffering The humiliation
I look forward instead To happiness To joy To prosperity To success
I can no longer be defined By what happened yesterday I am reinventing me I look forward to my future I will not go back
So take a good look This is, the new me The one who no longer cares About the weeds in her life I'm not defined, by yesterday!
