A/N-Hopefully you all like this bc i kinda thought long and hard-ish for this lmao, also this is in school(Alexandra is 17 and haden is 18)

  Alex's POV

There I was, standing in the middle of the dance floor of the party, with beer dripping now my blonde hair, the beer getting in my blue eyes. I tried desperately to get the beer out of my eyes, failing miserably. I looked up to see everyone laughing at me. I locked eyes with Haden for a second. Haden Whitlock, he was the "bad boy" of Sunset Valley School and real rich. For a few months now, he had tricked me into believing he liked me and i obviously fell head over heels. Now I'm standing here, dripping wet, because of him. He was the one who organized all this and I used to look at him with warmth in my eyes, I now stared at him with hatred and regret of trusting him.

I quickly push everyone away and run to my dorm, where my bestie, Hayley was waiting. Her face was bright and was going to ask me how it went but the words quickly died from her lips when she saw me like this. I went inside the bathroom and took a long hot shower. When I came out, I let all my tears out and told everything that happened to Hayley. She rubbed my back and consoled me, tried to, mind you.

The next few days, I didn't go to school but by now, my story had spread through the whole school. The day I did go to school, everyone was staring at me, the girl who got played by Haden Whitlock, humiliated by the whole school, Alexandra Emerson.

That complete and absolute asshole Haden even tried talking to me the day I came back to school. I had rolled my eyes and walked away briskly. He looked really sad like he regretted it but was I about to give him the benefit of the doubt? No way. Never. Not after what he did.

I continued the rest of my school days like this, with stares all the time. I basically kept my head down from then on. That was also the day I vowed I would never let my guard down with a guy again.

I graduated with flying colours and I met 2 of my best friends, Nora and Harrison. Harrison, Hayley, Nora and I always stuck together and we were the best of friends, with movie and pizza nights each week.

Then a few years later, as usual, I was single as a Pringle as I'd turned down all the guys who asked me out. I'd realized I actually wanted a soulmate, someone to hug me and care for me.

A/N-is this cringy?

I then saw a flyer, saying that there was a guy who needed a girlfriend and was having some kind of competition to "find the right one". They didn't mention what his name was though. I dialed the number and they told me the address and to arrive there the next morning. I quickly called my best friends and informed them what I was doing. They wished me luck and told me to go for it.

Little did I know, I would get a huge surprise there and I would end up meeting someone who would turn my life upside down...
