Joshie Joins The PAW Patrol

Chapter 5

Joshie slowly came up to his mother and tapped on her leg. Officer Gary told him to let the adults talk.

Joshie: oh um if your looking for Rocky. He's not here today

Officer Gary: oh then where is he?

Joshie: umm he's...........

An idea suddenly came up from his head.

Joshie: he's getting a bath from the dog salon

Officer Gary: hmmmm dog salon huh? I'm gonna check around here to see if your lying

Rocky quickly tried to find a place to hide. He went down in the basement and went into a box in the storage room. He started getting nervous, not knowing what could happen if he was caught. Was he gonna be sent to pup jail or let go?

Rocky: I hope I'm safe in this box

Then footsteps came down the basement stairs and into the room. He tried not to panic. The footsteps got closer and closer until they stopped at the box.

Rocky: *gulps* uh oh

Joshie: Rocky it's Joshie the Officer left

Rocky: Joshie thank you for having my back. I thought I was gonna be sent to pup jail for good

Officer Gary: well well well look at what I have stumbled upon

Rocky: *gasps* Joshie I thought you said he left?

Joshie: he did

Officer Gary: I tricked you and Rocky is coming with me

Rocky: w.....what? N..no please sir please don't take me to pup jail. I..it wasn't me y..you have to believe me

Officer Gary: I believe it's time for you to learn your lesson

Joshie: NOOO!!!!!

Officer Gary: no? What do you mean no?

Joshie's throat started to choke up as he talked with tears in his eyes.

Joshie: p..please don't take him away. He's innocent and so is the rest of the PAW Patrol. S...someone is trying to frame them. J...just *sighs sadly* don't take him away please?

Officer Gary: oh fine but if one more report comes in because of the PAW Patrol....................

He looks at Rocky intensely.

Officer Gary: pup jail time

Rocky gulped as Officer Gary head back upstairs. Rocky started to tear up and layed down on the floor. Joshie didn't like seeing his friends like this so he put his hand onto Rocky's head.

Joshie: don't worry Rocky I got your back no matter what. Remember what you said?

Rocky: *sniff* b...best friends stick t..together i....I know Joshie but if I go to pup jail possibly forever I will never see you or Ryder ever again

Joshie: I won't let the PAW Patrol go to jail

Rocky: i..It will be complicated for you to do that i...I'm sorry Joshie but maybe i..I'm w..wrong about best friends sticking together

Joshie gasped at Rocky's choice of words. He saw how upset Rocky was and it made him feel extremely bad for him and the PAW patrol.

Joshie: no you can't just give up like this

Rocky: what other choice do I and my friends have. Joshie just forget about me. W....were o..obviously criminals

Rocky ran back upstairs and left Joshie down in the basement all by himself. He looked down at his hands and felt the same emptiness he had felt before. He finally came back upstairs and went into the kitchen. He sat down on his chair and set his head down with his arms around his head.
